I and my wife are the winners of DV2013 lottery. We recently obtained the visas from US Embessy to Uzbekistan in June, 2013 and arrived to USA on September 17th, 2013.

My wife received her permanent resident card within couple of months being in United States, but my card was lost in the mail.

I have submitted I-90 form(Application to Replace Alien Registration Card) to USCIS to replace the card.

While waiting for the application to be processed I had to travel back to Uzbekistan for a family reason.

I am currently in Uzbekistan and planning to stay here for couple more months, then return to US permanently. Today I have received Form I-797C, Notice of action from USCIS at my USA address in Colorado. The notice requests me to appear for biometrics appointment in Colorado USCIS location .

Questions:

• Can I take the biometrics at US Embassy in Uzbekistan ?
  

• If not, can you please advise me how to proceed so I would not lose my permanent resident status?
  

I really would like to return to US and continue my life there with my wife.

We sent an email to the embassy. The embassy said that DOS case number is the same as IV case number that starts from the year(2013) and not form the 3 letters.

If LPR has to leave USA for 4-5 month then comeback for 2-3 month and then leave again for 4-5 month for not big family reason, is it going to be a problem with re-entry or getting citizenship when time come for citizenship comes?

Hi All,

My relatives came to US about a week ago on DV lottery visa. We are trying to pay Permanent resident card fees at USCIS website.

They are asking for A number and DOS case ID number.

We went through all document and could not find any DOS case ID number, It seems like it got lost.

The cover sheet that was attached to the envelopes they give it to immigration at POE.

I tried to call to NVC, USCIS and DoS, no one was able to help me.

I sent email to the embassy and waiting for response.

Does anyone know how can I obtain the DOS case ID within US?

Does anyone know good immigration attorney in Colorado?

Here is the situation we have:

My mom had her first marriage ; my step sister was born in 1976.  Then my mom remarried to my dad and I was born . My parents were married for 9 years . My sister was step daughter of my dad for the 9 years, so from since she was 6 to 16.

My dad remarried his current wife in 1996 and they moved here in US. I moved to US in 2003 and my mom is coming here soon as permanent resident.

My sister is going to be 36 and she has 3 years old daughter, she is unmarried.

My dad is US citizen and he would like to petition for my step sister and her daughter as her step dad.

Questions:

Is it possible for my dad to petition for my step sister as her step dad?

I noticed one thing when i tried to track my package. All the origins are from BOSton, MA whereas NVC address is Portsmouth, NH. I called operator and she told me my case has been forwarded to Embassy but there is no package found for my destination in DHL website. Does it mean my case is still with NVC? I am confused.

I am trying to track the same thing. Operator told me that my case was sent to embassy on 4/1 but i do not see any packages left to my country.

I assume you found out your case was sent to the embassy by telephoning the operators at NVC. We were told to call on Friday. We have SIF, confirmation of case complete on AVR and verbally, but no email as yet.

Yeah, I got confirmation from 3 different operators. AVR still says 'No record of the case#". never received email.

I am just curious about something. Has anyone gotten an SIF and then NOT received an e-mail the next day saying your case is complete. I am just wondering so I can get a time frame on this....NOT worried because our AVR has changed but just curious.

Tracking data entered on the 4th April is now showing. One item out to London tonight (Unlikely to be ours, but maybe), but I don't see anything for your country buddy.

Thank you.... what is the date that NVC said they shipped it? A lot of times the tracking number will be a day prior or a day after the date that NVC gives you.

Operator told me that it was shipped on 4/1 but i checked all the dates around the date and the date, nothing

I made a Expedite request yesterday and i got reply from NVC today saying my request is under review. can any one tell me, how long its take for NVC to make decision on expedite request? What are my chances for request? I have not submitted IV packet yet but already informed NVC that if you expedite my wife will mail them to mumbai consulate. Thanks.

For me it took 5 days to get the expedite approved.

Maybe the weekend interfered? Let's see if it is on tonight's list. I wonder if they have changed the date input format - nothing from April at all as yet.

I was wondering the same thing.

Look for shipments using the ref for March 31, so EXP 31 MAR 2011A. They call DHL the day BEFORE your case is shipped out and they get a reference number assigned to them of the date they call it in, not necessarily the day they ship it out.

If that doesn't work, try using the ref for April 4, so EXP 4 APR 2011A.

I checked EXP 31 MAR 2011A but nothing to Uzbekistan. and it is no shipments for EXP 4 APR 2011A. Well, hopefully we will see the change by EOD today. Thank you

Could that be because of the weekend? There are no April cases yet that I see either.

I'm looking for cases to be called in later today. I think the DHL list will show shipments dated the 4th or 5th sometime tonight. Hopefully, ours and Jenny's will be on there. Is you case due to be sent I & M?

My case has been approved for expedites on 28th March but my case is still with NVC. I am not sure if expedites really help on my case. I fear that expedities would not slow my case further. How long it takes for NVC to send your documents to Embassy after approval of your expedites? Thanks

My case was send to embassy on 4/1/2011 per NVC operator. I tried the DHL reference#: EXP 01 APR 2011A, but it is no shipments this date. Am I doing something wrong?

My expedite got approved. Got email from embassy today. Called NVC they said it is approved and they will send me email with interview date within 48 hours. :dance:

Question:

I already sent AOS and IV packages to NVC, are they gonna forward those packages to embassy?

Does my wife needs to send any other documentation to the embassy?
