Our K-1 application is currently in "Administrative Processing" and we are unsure as to when it will be approved. If it is approved and my fiance comes here in the next few months, he will need to go back to Albania for his sister's wedding in January. When do you apply for advance parole? Is it necessary after you apply for adjustment of status? Does he need to be here when we apply for Advance Parole? Any info you could give me would be great!

At our visa interview today in Naples, Italy they asked my fiance a few questions and then told him he needed another police certificate from Albania even though he brought the one stipulated in the instructions. So now our application is in AP and the interviewer said it would be 3-4 weeks for them to process the paperwork in the US after he turns in the documentation. I've been reading this forum and I see post after post of people waiting for months in AP status. Does anyone have any encouraging stories of short processing times? I just really need to know if everyone has a similar experience. I know that patience is a virtue, but I need to go visit him if it is going to be more than a month more. I'm so disheartened.

Hi there,

My fiance just had his interview in Naples, Italy. They asked him a lot of questions about our relationship that he was not really expecting and then they requested another police certificate from Albania and told him it would be 4 more weeks of processing! If they deny the visa, do they tell you right there or do they send you away and then mail a letter? Do they process the visa and mail that? They said they needed to process some of the US documents as well. What does that mean? We had everything requested including the police certificates. I am freaking out a little. I could really use your advice.

We got our NOA2 that we were approved on May 4th! Does anyone have a link for what to prepare for the interview? I am in desperate need of a checklist to start following. If we need to get any sort of documentation from Albania, we need to start asap. Thanks!

Eduardo and I got an RFE yesterday, the 18th. It looks like the average response time after you get that returned is about a month! Man, I wish I would have had that document in there! Congrats to everyone that is being accepted!
