After eight long frustrating weeks of ap visa finally picked up my step daughter will be here on Thursday. Thanks all vj'ers for your support through this process and i wish the ones still in the process a quick and happy outcome

Visa issued 9\18\13 and no call ir email stating it is ready for pick up,anyone know how long the process is?I called dhl just to check but they state that the eembassy has to email me a waybill# so i guess it is another long wait

Can some please tell me how to check when the visa is ready for pick up,Will the Embassy call or E-mail me when it is ready? or is there another way to check?

She is seven years old,her visa was issued today once we pick up the visa we intend to have here the next day

My step daughter's passport was dropped off at the Embassy yesterday,I check the CEAC website this morning and the status update to today's state and now it is back to Administrative processing,I hope this is good news and the visa will be issue soon.

I just want to update everyone on my case, yesterday case status update from AP to Ready.I contacted DOS this morning and the lady I spoke to told me that the case is still under going AP,I told her that the case has been updated on 9/11/13 to Ready she insist that it is not and it will take another six to eight weeks,I call back a few hours later and I spoke to some one else and she told me the case is in final review and the visa will be issue soon.My step daughter was contacted about an hour a go to bring her passport in on Monday,I know a lot of the reps that answer the phone@DOS do not provide the correct info,I will keep you guys posted once the visa is issue.

My step daughter has been in AP for six weeks,I am still keeping the faith that we will hear something this week,they did not keep her passport so I think that will be another delay but I'm still hopeful enjoy your new life.

I receive this email from Kingston Embassy, second one this week I don't know if this is a sign that the visa will be issue soon

Good day Sir/Madam

Base on the volume of cases to be processed there has to be a system in place. Cases are processed systematically by a first come bases. Also, administrative process can sometimes takes longer than anticipated base on each case. The applicant will receive the package in due course.

Also, please ensure that the applicant have completed the DHL Confirmation Instructions, especially #8. Failure to complete the process will delay the delivery of the package to DHL.

I just call DOS to check the status of my step daughter's case,this is the first time I called and they told me about an email that the Embassy send me and that they contact the Embassy too.Per the E-mail the process can take six to eight weeks so I ask him is it six to eight weeks from this email and he state yes,now I am so down hearted because it has been almost six weeks since I have been waiting. What else can I do but wait and pray.

Based on some of the VJ'ers time line the AP process is really 6_8 weeks so you will hear from them pretty soon
