I came to U.S with my B2 Visa. i got married in Vegas 3 months ago then i filed AOS in Chicago Lockbox. I interviewed last week in San Jose, California. IO took my I-94 away and I need to wait his decision within 2 weeks. I received a text from my phone my case is updated with card production notice after I left his office about 2 hours later. I just got a Welcome to U.S letter this afternoon. I think you have no problem with B1/B2 Visa without intention getting married in U.S. Good luck!

My status sounds like very similar with the case of someone above. I did walk-in biometric 2 weeks ago. I got an initial interview letter today but still not received EAD approval notice yet.

To icee: My aunt just changed address yesterday. Yes, it's not simple like we thought. She called 1-800, then filled out form AR-11 online, even sent a mail to them. However, it doesn't work. She thought that could complete all steps that would be fine. Plus she still worried. She made appointment with the officer at local office in person. They told her that still show the old address (she completed all steps 1 month ago). That's so weird. They explained that people should click "10 times", while you submit the form online. She got a big question??? Why? Why? and Why...but that guy told her just do like that way. Finally, my aunt asked him for help and he changed new address right there. She could sleep well last night. Hope this is useful info for you.

Because it depends on the capacity and the backlog at the local office.
I filed AOS in Chicago Lockbox and Im living in San Jose, California (a very busy office) . My case number is MSC (Missouri Service Center). Let you all know that to compare the timeline.

Very simple, make a copy the original and send out this one. Keep your original with you and show in the interview. Don't need to certify any if you have no time. Original divorce decree is good enough.

I sent out my AOS packet on Nov.5, 2010. I got Biometric appointment with hard copy on Nov.24, 2010. I wonder why they keep you all waiting so long.

Don't worry. You will get something new soon. Your situation is same me 2 week ago. IO took my I94 away then he said that he gave out his decision within 2 weeks. I came here on B2 Visa too and Im living in California State. I checked my status on the website after interview. It changed from Acceptance to Card Production. I received my Green Card yesterday. Have you checked your status on the website yet? Good luck!
