I am preparing my parent's N-400 application and I came across this question on Part 11 #15. Were you ever a member of, or did you ever serve in, help, or otherwise participate in, any of the following groups? A. Military Unit

My mom and dad both serve 30+years in the military (Philippine Air Force) to be specific. I want asking for everyone's thoughts on this. Is the military unit mentioned can be military ran by the government? Should I answer yes to this and attached an explanation sheet? Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

APPROVED! Hello friends, I checked my mail last Saturday and received an approval notice for my ROC (approved 4/30/2014), the letter said card is in production. And surprisingly, we got our GC today. Thank you so much for all the help here, 9 more months more and we can file my wife's citizenship. Thank GOD! Goodluck to all!

Hello, I have done my biometrics and still waiting for the decision of the application. However, my wife and I have plans on travelling overseas next month. Based on the NOA1 received, they are extending my wife's legal status/green card for one year, how can I use this for travelling purposes? Should we bring that letter when we travel with her expired green card? Thank you all.

Yurika here is my NOA date 1/10/14 and biometrics on 01/31/2014. Sorry for the late response, as of now we are still waiting for the decision and looking at the website our application is still under initial review.

Hello I want to be added for January filers, I originally sent our packet and application on Dec 27 but was returned to us because of insufficient amount on the check. I put $585 instead for $590, how silly lol. It was returned to us on Jan 2nd and refile it the same day. Thank you and good luck to our fellow filers!

God is super good, I received the return application yesterday and I was able to resubmit it too with the correct amount this time. Hopefully we get approve without any interviews. Thank you all.

I was so excited and sent my ROC package last week and check the tracking that they received it today. When I was browsing the form and saw the discrepancy on the filing fee I wrote in the check. I sent $585 instead of $590 ($505 application fee and $85 biometrics). I am worried now because my wife's CGC will expire in Feb 1st. What's going to happen withy application? How much time do you think before they send it back?

I am letting the whole vjay world know that got APPROVED TOO after our interview last FEB 1st. Hello guys, my wife received her EAD card today, almost a month after she had her biometrics. Our interview will be on Feb. 1st (nervous but I made sure requirements are compete). Question, my wife does not have a state ID yet, can she use this EAD to secure one as proof of residency or do we have to really wait for the GC? Thank you all!

Hello guys, I have friend who who's a naturalized citizen and married her out of status wife. THe wife is less than 365 days out of status, question is what appropriate form should we include in filing. Do we have to pay the penalty? What is I-485A? ENLIGHTEN ME PLEASEEEEEEEE!! Yes, $1,070. Fees for EAD and AP are waived when you apply together with I-485.

No fee for EAD and AP...IF filed with AOS. There is a fee if released after filing for AOS.
