      to aaron-christine.

K1 is the first step. next step is adjustment of status, which is a long process all over again. Though this time, you can be with your wife/husband.

You have to collect a lot of evidence, and fill out some forms. This is not a huge problem. the problem for us is how uscis handle it, and they are so slow.

oops it apparently didn't save all of my comment :(

I was writing that its a pain, how uscis are doing this process. its like they like being annoying, and don't want people into the country, that actually are legal.

just hope there soon will be an end to this, and i can start working and relax from this process.

we filed for adjustment of status in august. first we never got a NOA1, and we were lucky that we called the uscis, because we apparently had an appointment a few days later. We managed to get to Atlanta, and did the biometrics. No problems there.

We got an update, that my employment card was on the way, but suddenly they sent out a RFE about evidence for the sponsors income, even though they already got that. and asking for tax return for 2010, even though she is old and is not required...

  8. omg, we are so close now. medical exam may 31 and visa interview in copenhagen june 16. juhuu

  9. I see on the "timeline" that someone who filed a month and a half AFTER I did - and who got an RFE three days AFTER us....just got approved. How is that even fair? Can't USCIS process cases in order!? Seriously, almost ALL hope is lost at this point.

it's so crazy that you are still waiting. Did you get any explanation why they are so slow ?

i agree with the person above here saying not to check the timelines. we kept being disappointed, when time went on.

Suddenly you will get approved, and then time is going to go faster.
