  1. Hello all, I have been trying to figure out what I can do for my Fiance as far as health insurance goes. All the insurance companies I have talked to inform me that one needs a social security number to be able to take out a policy. I guess my first question would be: Does anyone know when/how she would get a social security number? I remember that on the DS-230 form she had to check that she wanted to receive one and she gave permission for the embassy to send her info to the social security administration...so I imagine that she'll receive one at some point, but when? Second question: does anyone know of a company that will provide insurance without a soc sec #? Thanks!

  2. I'm a little bit confused by the instructions in the K-1 visa guide here on this we site. It says that I need a G325A form for both me and my fiance...so does that mean that I need to fill one out for myself? Or does that mean that I need to fill one out for her, and then I sign the one that I filled out? I guess I'm just confused by the wording. I guess I'm asking, do we both need this form with each of our information? Or do we just need two forms with her information but signed by each of us?

  3. We are filling out the form G-325a with my fiancee, and we ran into a bit of a snag where it asks for the applicant's last address outside of the united states for more than one year. My fiancee has lived at the same address most of her life, but for a year and a half from 2009-2010 went on a mission trip for her church. The address we have is the address of the office of the mission, but she didn't actually live at that address. She has only been home at her current address for 7 months now. Does it matter much what address that we put? it makes more sense to put her home address...but I don't want to get this wrong. Will they verify the address in Chile or will that cause some sort of red flag?? Not a clue what to do...

  4. This topic has been talked about quite a bit, but I really wanted to get a specific answer for my situation. My fiance is here studying english on an F-1 visa (to be honest we were engaged before she came, but we "broke it off" a while before her interview so she could technically be honest if they asked her direct questions and whatnot...silly I know, but we re-initiated our relationship when she arrived). She's been here a few months now and we've been planning to marry. From what I've read, it would seem that if we do get married I can just apply for an AOS and things should go pretty smoothly from there? What kind of snags might we hit? What kind of precautions should we take? Could she be sent home after we're married even if I apply for an AOS? Any information would be helpful..THANKS!
