  1. Hi all ,

If a person just came in Usa with IR1 ( Married to Us citizen) visa and after two weeks apply for AR 11 form which is change of address bc the landlord will sell the house they had to move. What address is this green card going to come ? do they send us a notice after applied online the form ? how long usually does it take ??

    Thanks,

  2. Hi all,

If my Grandmother is citizen and has been living here for over 8 years. Now she wants to start a family union with her Daughter in Albania which is married and has one child over 18. Now my question is, how long does it take the process for my grandmother to bring her daughter here. And if any one has time to explain to me step by what step what do i have to do first.

Thanks in advance for any response.

  3. Hi,

I am inquiring for a friend who is going through a lot obtaining a Greek Police Certificate that will need to be presented to the US Embassy in Albania. Will it need an Apostille stamp or not ? I realize it is accepted as proof of legitimacy of the document but I am not sure if it mandatory or not. It takes a while to get the stamp and they hope to avoid wasting the time waiting for it if it is not needed.

    Any help is appreciated.

    Thanks,

    D

If for US Embassy in Tirana Albania , i won't take the chance , i suggest u do the Apostille.

  4. I donot want to turn this thread into a political one but sometimes the way a government follows or not follows the instructions of the USA affects the embassy processing as well.

We were in good terms and now we are not..thank you to whoever steals elections and causes instability

Now back to the little peoples problems( us)

I donot know what the outcome of this process will be for us but i refuse to start making plans for the worst case scenario. We will deal with it if it comes our way.

Lets hope that the wind will be on our back for a smooth sailing

USCIS and NVC are the easiest parts of the process even though the wait is a kill. The hardest part is the interview and i can't get over the fact that there is a complete stranger sitting behind a counter that makes my life decision in a matter of minutes

It is what it is. Maybe we will turn into Mexicans and just cross the border...who knows...or maybe i will just move to Europe and take my darling with me and never look back ...oh wait...whose taxes will pay for all the free loaders and their foo stamps...hmmmmmm.

I should tell that to the CO at the interview :P

Any of you ladies took part or is planning to be in Albania for the interview?

What are your thought on that?

Grenxa hang in there....a glitch is just a glitch and eventually just goes away

For your info , i even called the Senator Team for Immigration issue , they were a big help to me , they called the embassy for me , and they told them the same thing . Admin Process , we have to wait without e definite time . No one can expedite the time :( . in other words they can do whatever, :( . such wonderful laws for people who are law abiding citizens . i would rather had him cross the border then going through this hell .

  5. Hi Grenxa

Sorry to hear you are in AP and wish you good luck and a speedy approval

Could you please confirm where did you get the info that Albania is widely using AP. I never heard of anyone from Albania being in AP before. When was the last time you heard or spoke to someone that was in AP in Albania and what was the reason for the AP.( besides you)

    Any info would be appreciated

i havev over 4 month that i ask every albanian that comes out without a visa and ask what is their forms after they get out, all said it is 221 g , is been over 4 month every single of them had a 221g , some of them took one month and half and they got the visa , i know one other spouse took 6 month for the visa , my husband is over 4 month now with a 221g , i dont know when they start but it is not fair what their are doing to people that are under family petition. i am contacting any agency possible here to see what they can do for me . Some will say want to see the marriage , i have been over 5 years married with him . and this interview thing is being very frustrating why should we wait more when we did all the papers right and followed all the rules why ??

  6. Your in AP, i didnt think that standard for Albania, ive never heard anyone get that before, i would call DOS atleast once a week, to see if they can update you, i called nvc everyday until i got case number, might even look better because they see you are concerned about your case, and look like a worried wife;-) theyre used to ppl calling..good luck:D

yes the are using AP widely in Albania and return people back for not really strong reason . and let them wait for long long time . so be ready for a long waiting after the interview

    wish u gd luck

  7. When you are on AP it could take anywhere from few months to a year. It is not for sure how long it will take. Calling DOS once a week could be helpful, for when your case has any new updates they seem to have it on their computers to let you know.

Patience is what would get you through this period of the limbo stage.

    Good luck

Thank u for ur answer , the number that i should call every week is 202-663-1225? and to i need to tell them my husb case number? what is the info they need from me so they can give me some updates .

  8. There is no harm in calling , because even i called , but most probably you will get no info from there , the only Chance u can get info from the DOS is when your application is out of the fbi name check and is at the DOS or consulate level and you have not being notified about that by the consulate till now .

hope you get a positive response .

I see how it works , thanks again for all info u provided . is good to share .

  9. The DOS of state website does say that they try to resolve MOST of the cases within 60 days . the DOS sends the name check request to the fbi and the fbi websites says that they resolve 97%- 98% of the name checks within 120 days , it is the fbi who does the name check not the DOS . calling the DOS will be no good because they cannot predict a timeline .

So u are saying i should call now one just wait ??

  10. According to the State Department they try to resolve the AP by day 60 but there is no set time frame. If you do not get a response from the embassy call DOS at 202-663-1225 give them your case number and they will give you an update. Hope this helps

    God Bless,

Thank u for the info and the phone number , does that phone calls complicate things more , ore might cause any lateness to my case . ??

please give more info if call what they looking from me or what do i need to tell them ??

  11. dont worry .. to me it looks like they are doing the regular fbi name check before issuing the visa .. 98 percent of the name check cases come out in 120 days , so dont worry , jus wait and pray to god .

hope u get your visa soon n mee too .

ohh thank you so much for the response now i know how long it takes , i wish u the best luck ever with ur visa . i have done 90 days , i have one more month .

  12. I hope i find some more info about this situation in this forum , my hub had interview in April , they told him he needed tax transcripts , after a month the called him again for an interview and did not explain him anything but gave him a paper that says 221g( administrative processing ) , usually this form takes 60 days , in my case is over 70 days , i dont know what to do , i call the embassy no one gives info , i emailed no one gives info . Does any one knows ,any one who had this type of situation , if yes how long it took . this long waiting without knowing when it ends is causing a lot of stress in my life .

    Every Answer is truly appreciated.

  13. We got our NOA2 that we were approved on May 4th! Does anyone have a link for what to prepare for the interview? I am in desperate need of a checklist to start following. If we need to get any sort of documentation from Albania, we need to start asap. Thanks!

ok ur case just approved congrats. first you will receive a 88 dollar bill choice of agent and then after that is 404 bill for Afidavit of support or named different i-864 be very careful with this one , just for a small mistake that send check cover list non stop and u may have delays , next come the paper from albania which is a document from the police department , justice depart of the city where they live and then from the Capital town ( Tirana) Justice ministry . Tax of three years dont forget tax transcrip is very important if you dont know what a tax transcript is i sure can help you . is a long long trip .

  14. ok thanks you guys :)

Hi , i had the same List when i was doing my paper for coming in usa . and i did not change or did any extra vaccines , bc for everyone vaccines missing they will recmoned you where to go if u have any not done .

I did mine in usa , and did not cost a lot .

    wish u best luck .

  15. Congratulations! From what I heard, an interview can be scheduled as early as 1.5 months from the time NVC completed the case. At least when it a visa for parents.

By the way, when did you start your NVC process? And do you know how long NVC reviewed your case after you sent them Biographic data? I am at that step right now...

Hi i starTed on Jul 23 , i assume u know all the steps to be followed from that moment if not send me message on profile i can sure help u . My case got accepted on Oct. and I-864 was send on Nov , After that was sent the Police certificate . Took 6 weeks from that moment for the case to get approved .

Wish you luck with ur Case .

  16. Thnx Rovi, and I do get that part, but did you get assigned a NVC #, and a IIN, if so, then thats what I am looking forward too. I got every other document sitting, ready to be sent out as soon as i get that NVC case number... But it is taking forever...

    Merry christmas everyone....

yes i have got the NVC# and the IIN long time ago since oct , as much as i know u should get those one too, two month after u get the acceptance letter , i would suggest u call because if u don't call they won't move a finger to do any work with your paper , i called them Dec 23.2010 and they told me that they need one more week to process my paper before they send it over to ALB and i have send the I-864 AND DS230 a month ago . so call them with the question if they have processed your case or if they have assigned u a CASE NUMBER . usually the people on the phone are very helpful and explain clearly in plain English .

Merry Xmas and happy new year :D

  17. 18. Just wanting to know if there is any more from Albania out there:) My husband is from Albania and we have started the I-130 process in November..wanting to get some info if anyone has any experience with the consulate and interview process..

I am from Albania and my husb is in Alb , i started I-130 on 3Aug , one month letter i received a letter they received my paper and in Oct i got another letter saying they accepted my case, after that in one month i Had to choose a communcation agent, and 88$ to pay per person and fill out DS2030 and then got another package i had to pay 404$ per person and send them the i-864 afidavit of support , i had some mistake , they send me back the papers and email and i refile again the i864 . plus i send them ds 230 with the photos , when i talked to them they told me from the day they receive my package it will take 20 days to process it and send it to Albania Embassy, from that it takes one month there and then it is the interview , i will keep u posted for all the info i have .

  19. The minimal requirments for 3 ppl is 22,887 my sister made atleast 25,000 so she is above the minimal requirements plus she has money in bank ..i can show with statements..her husband lives with her they dont file jointly because they get more back I think if they file seperately..(I dont know if that clear things up or not) so I think she does put 3 in household..I was still just wondering if my being on ssdi would be factor..I have work history and a RN degree...

From what i read yes her household is 3 , and belonging to your conditions ,should not influence your case or the visa for your family member as long as u have a Co-sponsor .
