  1. Dear wise members,

My spouse is a conditional permanent resident for almost 6 months. She would like to work and we need help knowing what to do?

Does she have to apply for a SSN in order to be able to work?

Does she need to fill any forms that would authorize her to work?

If it matters she came in on the K1 fiance visa.

We are a bit lost and would appreciate all your feedback!

  2. Dear Members,

I am in the process of gathering all required documents for the k-1/married AOS.

1.When filling the 325A form for k1 visa petition I made a mistake - where it asks family name of the beneficiarary's parent's I put their middle names. Now I am filling the same 325A for the AOS and want to correct this. How should I go about this?

    2. In regards to the Sponsor's I-864 where it asks for bank statements can I use the same one's I used for the k1 petition. They will be several months outdated?

    Thanks Greatly

  3. Hello and Greetings to all members,

I apologize if this question was asked already, but I am concerned and need advice.

I am the petitioner, I have received a post decision letter saying USCIS has accepted the fiancée petition. I am assuming that soon an I-134 affidavit of support will be required at the interview in Kiev, Ukraine.

The issue is that I have no documented income since i am a medical student. In the meantime all my living expenses come from family contributions. Now I would like to know, if my direct kin such as parents or siblings can't co sponsor me, will sponsorship from cousins or aunts be accepted and sufficient? If you have any experience please do advise me. I am grateful for your feedback.

    Thank you

  4. Ooops ... Santa Claus even!

your best option for a cheap stay is a hostel somewhere around krishatik or other central areas.

Apts run from 30-100 a day.

Do some google search in russian that's how I got the 30$ price, if you cant type in russian use google translate search.

  5. Thanks to all of you guys for being so helpful.

I was told that the photo may not be accepted by a young lady working in the photo section at walgreens.

I guess its better to be safe than sorry and ask my fiancée to do another photo.

By the way if I were to send this photo and than recieve RFE, how long would the delay be?

Again thanks to everyone for their help.

  6. Someone please help me with this ongoing issue. I've had my fiancée send me pics from Ukraine only to be told that it didn't fit the criteria. Again I had her send me this pic http://www.fotothing.com/photos/5c1/5c1c7f84f8bf06a1301fcf06fed24414.jpg?ts=1293224667

and it seems that there might be an issue with the shoulders. Could someone tell me if this pic satisfies the requirements?

If not, does anyone know where in Kiev a good studio can be found?

    Thanks

  7. Unless your marriage was performed at ZAGS office your marriage is not legal in Ukraine.... With that said... it is probably best not to mention anything about a pseudo marriage as you do not want to give any wrong impressions to the uninformed. If they misunderstand your petition will be denied

Yes, we weren't involved with the ZAGS. It seems its best not to mention it as to avoid an uphill battle. Thanks for your response!

  8. Ok so here it goes again folks,

recently my fiancée and I married in Ukraine. In fact this marriage wasn't official. It was just a ceremony/ banquet with family and friends. However one year before the ceremony we did get a religious authority to document our marriage, and now I wonder should I mention any of this to the USCIS? Will this hamper or strengthen our process?

    Thanks
