  1. Hi,

My fiance arrived in US and we were married within 90 days, we just got the copy of the mairrage certificate, it does not list her as Ilona (My Last Name) but as Ilona (her family name). On the forms for the AOS do I use her family name or the new name she wants to use in the states (I understand her name change is official when we apply for Social Security Card)?

    Thank you for your help

  2. In defense of Al, I had to wait a long time too for my NOA2, 5+ months just got it two weeks ago. Total BS, I don't understand how people can eat ####### and than start feeding it to others (maybe they've been eating it for too long?). If there was a way for everyone here who posted to expedite I bet more than half of you wouldn't even blink an eye and step on whoever you had to in order to get the expidite. It's a dog eat dog world out there, and if someone is telling you not to do it, more than likely they've got something vested in it (like they can't do it but you can). I say go for it, worst they will say is no. Do what you gotta do, don't listen to the internet heroes.

    Pozdrawiam

  3. one thing i dont get tho, what joydee's request to expedite has got to do with anything unless youre doubting her/his love for her/his fiance/ee?

we all know being away from eachother is hard and painful and if we all could expedite,we would.

im not trying to take sides here but we have to be fair

If I could I would of course request expidite, and than shutup. I would not go on the forums and tell everyone how they must wait and preach about her right to expidite? I may have missed her point, but it just smells bad. Poor taste.

My complaint is towards the USCIS, how could the standards be set so low? 5 months for an approval are completly way to low standards in my book, no excuses. I say raise the standards. Max two months for K-1, and you'll see how quick theyd be hiring outside contractors once their butts are on the line for not meeting the status quo during their next inspection.

  4. Witam Agnieszka,

My check was held by my bank and they suspended my packet for two weeks until I resent the check. However, I received a letter stating that my filing date would be adjusted to reflect date of payment. Since you have not received a letter stating your application has been suspended due to error, I do not think your application has been postponed at this time. I would go by whatever letters you have received (however you still may receive a letter stating it will be delayed).

We were originally August 9th, but due to bank problems they readjusted us to Sept 12. However, did they actually go in their giant pile of papers and pull us out into a 'holding pattern'? I doubt it but maybe.

    Pozdrawiam,

    Tomek

  5. Honey, I'm the one shaking my head at you. I'm glad you got out of the house. Maybe it'll help get you some perspective. When the Constitution was written most of the people residing in the United States were not "citizens." This was a document to govern all the people in the land, not just the citizens.

I am done dialoguing with you. Cheers.

I don't like you. You lecture everyone, yet you request your package be expedited? I say get in the line like the rest of us. I may have to deploy in a year, and every month USCIS delays-that's another month she doesn't get a chance to learn the language, integrate, etc. when I might be gone for 6+ months.

Polish troops are fighting, supporting us, and they won't even let her(many Polish) come visit me (denied tourist visa every time). You bet I'm bitter.
