I've read on some previous posts that you won't need to file a correctin form. However, it is recommended that you still file for the removal of conditions 90 days before the "supposed" 2nd anniversary if you had received a two-year green card. This is to protect your status in case your file says conditional PR and your GC was just prepared erroneously.

Kezzie is right. That's why green card holders are encouraged to have their SS cards changed to an "unrestricted" one. That way, if the employer re-verifies (even if they're not supposed to) or if the LPR changes employer, all the employee needs to show is the unrestricted SS card and a valid state ID or DL.
