Hiys rich, DOS is the Department of State - number is in US it is (202) 663-1225. It is a pre recorded message press 1 (dont bother listening) then press 0 at next menu (again dont need to bother listening) it takes you straight through to visa specialist who can give you status update on case (often quicker and know more than NVC). ok so it will be soon for sure. Atleast they have recognised they have received something- even that can take a week sometimes! You will have SIF in 2 weeks or so all being well I reckon!

Then my guess is thats it and congrats! You could call tomorrow to double check - if it is in the system they will be able to confirm that it is the IV packet.

If that is the only packet you have sent recently then yes it will be your IV packet. You are very lucky to have it scanned that quickly. Normal circumstances SIF is about 7-11 days from then. NVC potentially closed on Monday due to Fed holiday. Good luck!

Just to let you know my RFE was entered on the 20th December and still have no SIF - I am so frustrated by it all - I feel like I have hit a brick wall. Was yours entered into the system on 20th or delivered by mailman on 20th?

Hiya, if you have received the request for bio stuff then yes, it is more than likely they have entered it. Regarding the review you would need to speak to the operator for confirmation. I have a package received on 15th which hasn't been reviewed yet but I know some with items received around 8th have been reviewed. Have you sent the IV package back yet?
