Hey All,
Ok so here is the story. My wife (then girlfriend) was in the U.S. on an F-1. She would travel back and forth between the U.S. and Canada (to visit her family). A couple of months ago I decided to pop the question to her and we got married in the civil courthouse shortly after. She then left the U.S., came back on her F-1, then left the U.S. and came back on the F-1 again. She is now in the U.S. and we want to apply to adjust her status. Are we in trouble now that she's left and come back on the F-1 visa as a student after we got civilly married? What should we do?
Thanks. - Greg

Hey All,
I got the I-551 today in my unexpired passport as evidence until I get my actual GC. The language of course says "Upon Endorsement, serves as temporary I-551 evidencing permanent residency for 1 year." My question is whether an actual signature from a USCIS person is required on the stamp (since it says "endorsement".) The only thing the USCIS person wrote in were the issue date, the name of the officer (handwritten in capital letters nut not an actual signature or endorsement), the validity date, my A # and "CR-6". Any help is appreciated. thanks.

Is it possible that the USCIS would accuse us of fraud even though the decision to adjust status occured after her last entry given that we had already been married?
