  1. Hi all!

I need your help. My wife just sent an application for removing GC conditions. Her conditional GC expires on March 15.

She just got a call from work and they're saying her GC expires on Match 15 and she will not be able to work.

What's her status going to be in the period after March 15 and before we have our interview and permanent GC is issued?

    Thanks

  2. Drogs, sorry for confusion. I can't edit my post anymore (there is no such option).

I want to clarify something. There are 2 moments: she wants half of his property + he is still her sponsor. The children don't play any role in this case since they are his ex-wife's. I mentioned them because I thought he will have more privileges in court when dealing with property.

So, if they get divorced, will he still stay her sponsor? If yes, for how long? And if there is a chance to prove extreme hardship, what are the benefits of this?

    Thank you all for help.

  3. Hello,

    please suggest something.

My friend has a situation. 4 years ago he had brought his fiancee to the U.S. and they got married right after. In 2007 his wife got a conditional green card. In 2009 she had her conditions removed. Right after she had her conditions removed she started giving my friend hard time. He realized that his wife used him to get the green card. My question is, can my friend do something? He wants to divorce her but he's going to have bad consequences. He has 2 children from his ex-wife (one is 14 and the other one 25).

  4. Hi, all,

I mailed my I-485 to "USCIS P.O. Box 805887 Chicago, IL 60680-4120" and used USPS Express mail for that.

I'm checking my delivery status and it says that a notice was left so someone is supposed to pick up the stuff.

My question is, will USCIS pick up my package or there is no one there to serve the P.O.Box?

Should I have used regular USPS mail or express is fine?

The instruction for the addresses is unclear because USPS can be also express.

    The USCIS Chicago Lockbox:

    For U.S. Postal Service:

    USCIS

    P.O. Box 804625

    Chicago, IL 60680-4107

For Express mail and courier deliveries:

    USCIS

    Attn: I-130

    131 South Dearborn-3rd Floor

    Chicago, IL 60603-5517

    Thank you.

  5. Hi guys!

I'm filling out I-864 (Affidavit of Support) for my wife (a K1 visa holder), who is applying for AOS (I-485).

I have a joint sponsor (my father), who is going to fill out I-864A, so there could be 2 sponsors (him and me).

My question is, my father doesn't live with me, so is he considered a household member?

I don't understand if I need to include him in my I-864, more specifically, in Part 5: "21. Your Household Size"

and in Part 6: "24. My current annual household income:"

    Thanks a lot for help.

  6. Hello,

My fiance is a K-1 Visa holder and she's is filling out her I-485. She had her medical exam done prior arrival to US (the exam was done 4 months ago). When she went to a civil surgeon here, in NY, to complete her vaccinations for I-693, the doctor said she has to have her medical exam done again along with vaccinations, but I-693 clearly states that K-1 Visa holders don't need to have another medical exam in I-485 is filed within one year from the date of exam. So, as I see it, the doctor just wants money, right?

What should I do in this case?

And another question is, which vaccinations exactly she has to have? Could you please list them?

    Thank you.
