In our case they did not ask for additional documents. They just gave us a 221g and asked us to wait, waiting since Sept 8th.

Wow, sorry to hear they didn't even give a reason for giving you the 221g... things seem very inefficient in that office. Keep your head up and will let yuo know if I hear back on mine via email, hoping to hear something next week and will try to call them also,but not sure they will even tell me anything..

I know that waiting is painful, but Umit's mother died Thursday and now I am so thankful to God that Umit was still in Turkey with her all this time. Thank God.

what ive never heard that it could take years especially after rfe , that means background check is over the tier 2 person told me..she said they only move on and review case/rfe after background checks are done..morracan(sp) wife is divorcing so sad:(

Well I all heard today was that they received our RFE package and they updated the Case Status as RFE Response Review. Congressman's aid called today and said she spoke to them yesterday and they said our case has been sent adj. and we should hear something within 45 days. I hope we hear something sooner.

yeah they're looking at it now but i think they lied through their teeth before to me and the senators liaison about background i dont think they looked at my case at all until may 18th when they mailed the rfe:(

I agree with you. I do not think they looked at your case at all and I think they got angry when the Senator's liaison contacted them. This is just so sad.

I think some think we are not being patient, but I think 6 1/2 months plus is more than patient. Life is too short to be going through this. I am so happy for you and your husband that you want to live in Albania. I wish I wanted to live in Turkey, but I truly do not because the quality of life there is basically just existing unless I could get a good accounting job. But the gas prices are outrageous. When I was there it was nearly $6.00 American dollars per litre. Crazy.

I think you are probably right since I believe your RFE was in response to Congressman's inquiry, but who knows with these people. It is scary to give them an excuse. I pray this time next year both of our husbands are here and we can all go to Dollywood in Gatlinburg together since you are not far away. My father lives nine miles from Vincennes, Indiana.

i think the best way to do it is just copy the email format that's on here and just have him resend that email. the whole scanning is pointless. they always take the email just as long as the case number and the IIN is on there. they will usually respond to that email a day after. i hope that helps

my husband and i have been threw this same process and it is the worst ever. They will make you wait and more. They dont give answers. Contact your senator and congressman for help becuase they may be the only way you get any answers. We have been threw hell and are still going threw it. I know. After I read about your RFE, I printed out so much more stuff. It was like a book. And I think that is all we can do do is do everything humanly possible to get them here to America where we can have a better life together. If we fail, then we have no regrets. We go to Plan B.

yeah if he gets denied im moving there ..like i said mom was the only reason we didn't go that route now..
