I married to my husband at US on June 2005 and receieved my 2 years conditional resident card on Feb 2006. By Feb 2009 it's going to be 3 years. I just got approval for my 10 years green card few days ago, so am I able to apply for the citizenship in 2009?
Sigh...it's so expensive tho

Aww I'm so sorry to hear that
I was so shock and feel I'm so lucky after I read your thread.
My due date for submitting the evidence documents was Dec 18. I mailed it with USPS with certified mail ( w/o request receive return because with 2 weeks ahead of time I should be fine ) on Dec 2. I don't know how long it take USPS to get it through but I just got a letter today on Dec 17 they approved my case. It look like the letter must went through quick.
In your case it's the post office taking extra long time to deliever the mail and you've given a reasonable amount of time for the mail to go through. It's not your fault and you should use this as reason for re-open your case.
Don't give up and good luck!

NO
Have a few friends write up letters and have them signed infront of a Notary.

Boy! letter from family members doesn't count? Is there some place to do notary for free? Damn it =(

I got a NOA requested me to submit more documentation to proof our marriage is base on good faith. I got join filed tax report, CC statements with both names, life insurance policy, medical family insurance i'm under his name. We don't have join bank account since we'd like to have our bank account seperate but I'm using a CC under his account.
Anyways, there is one thing they list:
" Affidavits sworn to or affirmed by at least two people who have known both of you since your conditional residence was granted and have personal knowledge of your marriage and relationship "
Do i have to do this in front of a lawyer?!!! or is it ok to have my parents in law to write letter and that letter can count as " affidavits sworn to or affirmed by at least two people "?
I do have photos and invoice of the family trip we went together with in-law. I think that may help too.

As topic. I've filed for my petition to remove my conditions on residence and got the extension for a year letter on Dec 4, 2007. My extension is only good for another month and I still hear nothing from USCIS after I went for my biometrics appointment on Feb 08.
At the meantime I'm applying for going back to school and the school just sent me email to show them my green card. I am so anxious since my green card is already expires and my extension letter is only good for another month.
What should I do now? I heard I can make an appointment for the local USCIS office to have my passpart stamp but I don't know what is the process. Can I just drop in the local office ( but I'm sure I can't!!!! because the guard is asking for appointment letter everytime I went there )? Or if I need to make appointment how can I do it?!
I need help pls!

One more question, I have a trip outside of the states at March, by the time if I don't have my new green card yet am I bring along my extention letter and show it to the immigration when I back to the states?
Yes. Some people get the added backup of getting the I-551 stamp in their passport as well.
I've never receive I-551 stamp
However, when I going back to the states on Oct from oversea, they only look at my greencard.

Just got the letter from USCIS to extend my conditional resident status for 1 year ( 2 year green card expires on Feb 14 08 ), and also ASC appointment on Jan 14 08.
I enter US on Mar 05 with K1 visa, married to husband on Jun 05. Thought that I could have my 2 years conditional resident card change into 10 years green card. I'm kinda disapoint it's only extend for 1 year, which means I've to re-apply next year? It cost me 545 to do my I-751 application. It's too expensive for me to do it again if I have to re-apply next year
Is that anybody know the I-751 application fee tax deductable?

Kezzie, Could u tell me more about the infopass? I've totally has no clue about the infopass. How do I make the appointment and where to make appointment?
Oh and also they never give me a stamp on my passport too!
Thanks for given me good advise
I would make an infopass appointment to find out if your card has been issued... dont bother phoning the help line they can tell you nothing... the same thing happened to me, I waited the 30 days that they told me to on the phone line and then I made infopass and found out my card was issued 7 days after my interview... I just never received it...If you did not get a stamp in your passport ask for one when you go for the infopass that way you will have something to prove your application has been approved...
Good Luck
Kezzie

It has been 3 months now since the officer told me case is being approve at the interview and I've done my biometrics and fingerprint at the same day too.
The officer told me I'll receive my 2 years green card in 4-8 weeks but it's alrdy been 12 weeks now and still nothing.
How long u guys been waiting after you done your interview and biometrics? Should I call the 1-800 number to check with my case?
As a spouse of a US citizen, I can start to apply my citizenship 3 years after I received my 2 years conditional green card right?

Totally agree. The major reason about that is I want to apply for Federal Gov job in the future besides we spent way much more money on renew the card every ten year.
