  1. They are more likely to accept a co-sponser when the petitioner has just graduated school, a graduate has earning potential, rather than a history of low paying jobs. But your best bet is to send the child back to mom in the Philippines and get a JOB.

That was my last option if I had no choice. I will apply dual citizenship for my daughter so she can stay with her mom in the Philippines.

I'm also thinking of marrying in the Philippines, and then applying for the K3, then use the i864 which accepts joint sponsers. It will just be another wait. Thanks!

  2. I am an American citizen, and I am trying to get my fiancee here into America. I've already provided all necessary forms but a few, and I am in the latter stages of the K-1 Visa process. I've been told I need to fill out my own i-134 and show photographs of the United States to prove it is my country of domicile. Now, the only thing I am concerned about is that the i-134 is also used to disclose my income and prove that my fiancee will not be a financial burden.

The problem is I have lived in the Philippines with my fiancee for the past 4 years - I only RETURNED to the United States a little more than 2 weeks ago. I don't have tax return forms from the United States because I haven't been working in the country - I was attending school in Philippines. I have no forms that I can use to prove income, so I was hoping I could use a variant of the i-134 to have JOINT SPONSORS help me ensure that my fiancee will not be a liability. But here's the other problem: according to online research, the U.S. embassies in Manila, Philippines, are among the very few that do NOT accept joint sponsors.

So, without income, and without joint sponsors, what can I provide to prove that my fiancee will not be a liability? I can find a job, but no one can watch our 6 month old daughter. My parents and I still live in the same household but they work as well. NOTE: our newborn (6 month old ) daughter is here in America with me. I'd really like to end the separation between them. So, your ACCURATE help will be greatly appreciated. Personal anecdotes will be ok as well... I just really need some help.

    Thanks and God Bless!

    Daniel
