You’ll also get a notice to do biometrics.  Three weeks or so after the notice of approval.  Will someone watch your mail?  Here’s the tough part: the biometrics appointment will be soon after the notice (10 days or so).  If you miss it, you can have a denial and immediate revocation of current status.  From what I read, it’s not considered abandoned until 90 days, but you are looking at 60 days which could still be a dangerous period.  You can reschedule but I don’t know how hard it is to push the date back that far.  Something to be looking into.

I already did one biometrics the year before last after my I485.. When you say three weeks after notice of approval you mean another biometrics three weeks after they approved my I751 for processsing? thank you

  2. Hi, thanks I sent the original in of the divorce, I did not think I would need that for going back in, I realized yes i did file for a divorce waiver as I included evidence of a good faith marriage in terms of photos and testimonies. So you think the I797 notification and passport and old conditional resident card is not enough for entry? That i will need to get another official copy of my divorce? thank you

  3. Hi, I returned to England to see and help my mother during March of this year and I sent in my I751 just before the date my conditional residency ended (12th August 2019). My I751 was accepted just a few days ago, I am intending to return to the USA In January before returning to help with my family in England during the summer next year. I am concerned about what will happen at the border as to what my status is, I am divorced from the person who petitioned for me.  Any ideas please as I am wondering whether I will be given a visa waiver of all things!

  4. Hi, i have just received my AP document and am leaving to stay with my mother in England to help her for 3 months, she is a senior citizen and carer for my mentally ill brother who lives with her so it is important i support her. My questions is: What can i do if i get interview date set while i am still abroad and can not make the date?

I am wondering whether i could let the offices know before hand so it is scheduled over there, also my dear one who petitioned for me is staying here so i was unsure about being interviewed there with out her.

Any help would be very appreaciated by me at this time thank you.

  5. Thank you very much all members for responding. Kay Dee Cee thank you for mentioning category ©(9) needed, that was my mistake made i put the wrong category : (

They also sent my I-131 back with another I-797C saying again I failed to sign and they say my payment was incomplete or incorrect. I am applying for an advance parole document to allow me to return to USA after temporary travel and I submitted it with my paid for ($1070) I-485. I am not understanding why I am being told my payment amount is incorrect or not provided on this one. I crossed 1 (d) on part 2 of I131 so i do not understand the payment issue.

Any help very welcome and appreaciated as I wish to get back to see my mother as soon as i can.

  6. Thank you Dohan, i changed address and my friend at previous address opened my letter from INS a few days ago which said apparently that in my AOS which i sent at the end of January, that i missed signing the i765 and including payment for it and the Biometrics. I will receive the forwarded mail from the INS tomorrow and am wondering whether the rules have changed and now the prices are not included and i need to pay.

  7. Hello, i am confused as to whether i need to pay for my i 765 -Employment Authorization Document and Biometrics appointment as i thought they were included in the cost of my i485. Some pages on web say fee for i 765 is $380 and others say no fee if application made with adjustment of status. Please could some one tell me if things have changed and i now need to pay more for my EAD and Biometrics.

    Thanks for any help.

  8. Hi, i entered the USA legally with the visa waiver 90 day program on the 9th of May last year, and during the following months my partner and i decided to get married, which we did on the 26th of July. Since then i have been getting my I485 package together, this being delayed for various reasons. My intention was to send in my application for residency in before i had been out of status for 6 months ( by February 6th) thinking this would make it easier to go back to England with advance parole to see my mother (who is not well) in April when i may be would get the permission to leave possible. I had my first medical exam yesterday and in the evening investigating on the computer began to seriously doubt my plan after reading that leaving after staying over 6 months out of status means 3 year ban and i would need to apply for a waiver for that too. So now i am thinking should i abandon my application here, go back after 5 month overstay and apply from here or go ahead with advance parole, to stay here right through my application i know would be best for it, however my mother has a heart condition and needs to see me and have some support in her life as soon as i can.

Please any help or ideas would be welcome,

    thanks

  9. Hello, I would extremely appreaciate it if someone could bring clarity to whether or not my father would be responsible as my sponsor if i got into an emergency medical situation and did not have enough money to cover the expenses myself.

I sent this to my father to show he is not responsible:

    Green Card
What are My Responsibilities as a Sponsor?

When you sign the Affidavit of Support, you accept legal responsibility for financially supporting the sponsored immigrant(s) until they become U.S. citizens or can be credited with 40 quarters of work. Any joint sponsors or household members whose income is used to meet the minimum income requirements are also legally responsible for financially supporting the sponsored immigrant. If the immigrant receives any "means-tested public benefits," you are responsible for repaying the cost of those benefits to the agency that provided them. If you do not repay the debt, the agency can sue you in court to get the money owed. When in doubt, ask the benefit provider whether the benefit is a "means-tested public benefit."

Currently, Federal means-tested public benefits include Food Stamps, Medicaid, Supplemental Security Income (SSI), Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF), and the State Child Health Insurance Program (CHIP). States and local jurisdictions may also designate certain of their programs as means-tested public benefits.

The following types of programs are not counted as means-tested public benefits: emergency Medicaid; short-term, non-cash emergency relief; services provided under the National School Lunch and Child Nutrition Acts; immunizations and testing and treatment for communicable diseases; student assistance under the Higher Education Act and the Public Health Service Act; certain forms of foster-care or adoption assistance under the Social Security Act; Head Start programs; means-tested programs under the Elementary and Secondary Education Act; and Job Training Partnership Act programs.

    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

However he still thinks if i do not have enough money he may loose all of his money paying for emergency medical treatment for me if that ever occurs. Am i incorrect? Please can some one help bring this difficulty i am having with my father to an end. If i am correct some evidence would be helpful as he told me he went to a lawyer and they said he would be responsible.

In anticipation thank-you for any help.
