  1. I am finally sending off my papers tomorrow.

I was waiting for joint car insurance policy, but they said it still needs to be approved.

So! I say forget about it. I am sending my papers with out it.

I think I have enough evidence papers so show.

Please take a look at my list and tell me if I am missing any. Thank you guys. :D

    • Completed I-751 Form

    • Copies of my passport and green card

    • Copy of my husband’s passport

    • Copies of my husband’s and my driver’s license cards.

    • Copy of marriage certificate

    • Two sworn affidavits by U.S. citizen family and friend, attesting to our relationship and marriage

    • Copies of our 2008 joint US tax return with my husband’s 1099-R form

    • Copies of our 2009 joint US tax return with my W-2 form and my husband’s 1099-R form

    • Copy of our 2010 joint individual income tax notice

    • Copy of our home insurance

    • Copy of our joint savings account at Wells Fargo(formerly Wachovia)

    • Copies of bank statement of our joint checking account at Wells Fargo(formerly Wachovia)

    • Copies of bank statement of our joint checking account at BB&T

(The account has been closed; we had it in relation to my old job.)

    • Copies of utility bills

    • Copies of our Social Security Statements

    • Copies of our airline boarding passes from when we visited my family in Korea December 2009.

    • Record of our tithes and offerings to the church where we are members

    • Pictures

We don't have my name on our house, because my husband inherited the house, if we want to put my name as co-owner of the house, we need to get a lawyer to do it, and that costs a lot as anybody knows.

Do you guys think that I need to explain about this on cover letter?

    Thank you!

  3. I am almost ready with all the evidence documents.

I have couple of questions about the evidence documents.

Do you guys use high lighter pen to make your name and your spouse's name noticeable on the papers?

and one more question, Is it ok to get affidavit letter from a family member(brother in law)?

or does it have to be only out side of family(friends etc).

Thank you guys in advance. :D

  4. Yay~me~!!!

I pushed my husband look into tax record of the company that we filed with in 2008.

We found out that luckily my husband jointly filed tax in 2008. sigh~

He thought he didn't joint file, but he did. bluhhhhh~

After 3 hours of anxiety, I finally can go to bed with bit of relief now.

I totally get what you are saying, Bob.

Isn't it weird that I have to prove that I live with my husband...dah~!

when you live normal, regular everyday life, you don't think much about making "evidence".

Just living like other people are and enjoying our life together...

When i got my temporary resident card, I was just so happy about that I don't have to think about "immigration stuff" for 2 years.

and totally forgot about it for 2 years.

    Now! freaking out time again~~~!!!

    Thank y'all for your help.

  5. me again.

I am preparing papers for I-751.

I was reading through other people's postings.

And I kind of find that I don't have enough evidence documents.

So, I am freaking out right now....arrrr

    These are all I have.

-Jointly filed Tax return in 2009(not sure for 2008, probably not jointly filed that year)

-house insurance that has both of my name and my husband's name

    -joint bank checking account

-joint saving account(just opened about a week ago)

-airline boarding passes that we went to Korea together last December

    -pictures

all the utility bills are on his name, because I moved in his house as we got married.

I don't have some other documents that other people seem to have....

1st, We don't have co-ownership on the house, we tried to put my name on the house but we couldn't, because my husband inheretated the house and property, so if we still want to put my name on the house as co-owner, we have to buy lawyer to work with...arrr we don't have money for that.

2nd, we already have house and property, therefore we don't have any mortgage or lease. So, we don't have that paper to show either.

3rd, this is kind of stupid, I am still on my learner's permit, so we couldn't put my name on car insurance. I am having problem with DMV.( they said my last name on their system doesn't match on immigration system. so I went to immigration to correct that, even after it's been corrected I still have to wait to my identity verification clears out.)

4th, my husband has one credit card, I was trying to open one on my name, I was denied because I wasn't working at that time. and we are kind of trying to get rid of the only credit card too.( Do we have to open a new one has both of out name on?)

Do you guys think these are enough?

I may can add little more, maybe I can get some kind of paper from our church finance team that shows we pay tithe together.(this paper used for tax deduction as well)

arrr I feel so stupid now...what have I don't for the last 2 years....I almost forgot about it and now I am panicking.

  6. Shouldn;t be difficult to phone the IRS - they send it within about 2 weeks.

    Thanks for your quick respond.

well, problem with that, my husband said that he didn't joint file tax in 2008, since I didn't work that year.

I maybe apear as a dependant of my husband on the paper...I am not sure.

So, Technically I have only one year of Tax return that jointly filed.... :(

  7. I just joined Visa Journey today. I've been helped a lot through this site.

    Thanks to everyone. :)

I came to the US 2008 on K-1 visa.

Now, I am preparing papers for I-751.

I was wondering if it's ok to send only one year of Tax return, because

I hear that I have to send two years of Tax return, but I didn't find the information that I have to send 2 years of Tax return anywhere on I-751 form instruction.

I have only 2009 joint Tax return, I want to make sure if it's ok to send only one year of Tax return.

    Thank you guys.
