sorry, but it is true that i-130 must go through chicago lockbox but i think you can send it from egypt...i would think that would take longer. Also there is the issue of the sponsor. will her parents qualify as sponsors? As it stands income from egypt will not meet the requirements. You can find more information by posting under the forum section so that you can get more answers from more people.

thanks so much. it was surreal seeing him after a month and seeing him here at our place walking up(almost was in shock, lol) but it was truly the happiest moment of my life and we're so glad to be together and a family now...i can remember how many times i sat and thought this was never going to end

Visa was issued on the 15th!!! I am sooooo happy right now!! Hang in there those who are waiting...the feeling you get when it gets issued will completely erase any pain you may have now

still waiting ap and so heartbroken to think i have to return without my husband!!

they say 80% of cases that go into ap are out in the 1st 30 days but the embassy site still says processing. i get hope when i see those fairly quick ap times but have seen others out of cairo go 4 mo or more. i have to book my flight now to go home w/out my hubby and separating us and him from his son is so difficult.i was hoping tomorrow when i call dos we cleared by some miracle.

oh i am so happy to hear that. i have been watching people who recently interviewed to see how ap was going and was especially keeping eye out on you i guess because yours seemed to take so long. lol its funny i do not know you but i feel ecstatic for you. glad this is over and your going to be with your love.my husband has been in AP only 1 mo im going to call dos every week.

It was my sons passport and not my husbands visa so as far as i know we are still waiting AP

at least they were honest up front with you! telling us and many others you will have your visa in 2 weeks that turns into months of AP that they weren't even told about...well...enough said

take heart katie you are not alone. let me tell you what happened to us today. we received word from a dhl guy who my husband had been in contact with that a package was coming. The guy said it came from iv side and that packages leaving from acs were piled separately and that this one needed to be paid(we already paid embassy for my sons passport) so we were soooo excited it was my sons passpo...
