Glas, you are correct, they do not look at your debt. you would be better off living pay check to check and spend everything you make rather than not making enough. also dont bet on your fiancee getting a great job. my now wife from ph , has a bachelors in information technology and a caregiver license from ph. they are worth nothing here in us. she has to go to school again here. good luck
