1- I asked for my criminal record that are about 8 months old (I lived in different country and it was hard to get them!)is there a validity period for the criminal record? Does it have to be translated in English?

2- when can you start working (once you get the K1 visa or after the adjustment?

we are a bit lost..

We sent the I-129F to P.O Box 660151, Dallas, TX 75266...So how do we know if it's the California or Vermont service center that is dealing with your file?

What do you mean by being "touched"?

we call the USCIS and they gave us a WACnumber, is that the NOA1?

so we went on the https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/Dashboard.do website and saw that our file had been received on the 24th September, and that s it. no news since..? is that normal?

I can see I'm not the only one getting crazy about getting any news from USCIS (1,5 month!).

I realized the petition we filled was a bit light, we didn t put pictures or evidence of our relationship and we didn t have a "cover letter".

Do you think we should send it again right now or do we have to wait for the RFE?
