Checked my USCIS online case status today and our children's IR2 NOA2 approvals were issued 1/25 (no email notification). Yes, Vermont is releasing many approvals this week. Congratulations to all that are getting approved and hope that those who are waiting will be approved soon!

Sometimes the travel tax P1650 is included in the air fare (Philippine Airlines) or other carriers if purchased in the Philippines. It should be listed on the ticket. Otherwise it will need to be paid at the airport (not sure which booth collects it, sorry). Happy trip!

From what I've been reading in other K1 threads today, it seems that VSC is releasing more approvals. After I saw this I went to the USCIS online case status (as I didn't receive an email) and found that both our children's I-130 IR2 petitions have been approved on 1/25. I hope that your patience will be rewarded soon!

Thanks, Darnell for the great suggestion! I checked the USCIS case status today and found that our children's petitions had been approved 1/25, so just 3 months from our I-130 application NOA1. On the K1 forum, most of the July and some of the August petitions are getting their approvals from VSC. We decided to delay my wife's medical & interview to allow our children's cases to catch up. It looks like our plan has a chance for success. Once our children's cases complete at NVC (still waiting for my wife to get some documents from the NSO to send me for their DS-230s, so likely not as quick as her NVC process in 12/09). I'm not sure if we'll be able to tie in to the new embassy appointment system (maybe K1s only?) or just use email to reschedule my wife's interview to coincide with our children's scheduled by the NVC? Our children's IR2 NOA2 petitions were approved (USCIS site status only) on 1/25. I used Darnell's suggestion of asking for an expedite in red ink so that they can be joined with their Mom's petition at the US Embassy in Manila. Looks like it's on to NVC for us. Congratulations to all who've been approved this week!

I tried the method Darnell suggested when I filed the I-130 last week.

My wife has an interview scheduled at the embassy 12/3/10 but we're also

considering Darnell's advice to reschedule it when our children's cases

clear the NVC and head to Manila. I'll keep you posted if this low cost

(bit of red ink) expedite continues to work.
