  1. Our AP has finished and my husband is on his way home to me!!, I am SOOOO HAPPY! AP was just about 90 days, I contacted a senator, she was great, but she got no response! So Try Another! but then I tried another senator, and I called embassy, 1 time a week or more and got no where! mostly answer machine! and I emailed a couple times a week with no response, my husband went to embassy, and was given another mini interview, with Co, which turned out great! and to be much more promising than the initial Interview, but still same answer, Wait!, but we were given hope and Compassion, and I Thank that CO for his kindness! but in the end I believe second senator helped us with our approval! not really sure though. So I encourage you all to contact Senator and see if they can help you! He sent email and got no response, but really there is nothing you can do during AP but wait! DONT WAIT TO LONG! you need to nudge them a little, but be polite always. This AP is very heart wrenching and painful, I think weed out the weak, so try stay strong and focus and talk much with your loved one, and keep in contact with embassy and your senator and let embassy know your pain, and call everyday Dept of State for USA, and ask more questions than answers they give, or ask to talk to someone else, they may be more willing to give you more than a text book answer, I found a couple really nice, helpful people that way, its hard to understand AP, but really it is Homeland Security checks, of both petitioner and beneficiary, hang in there, trust me I know it's hard, but in the end, you look back, and give much thanks! I wish you All the best in your Journey! If I can help, please ask, Im not really good with forums, :) and THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR HELP AND SUPPORT!

  2. still waiting Administrative Processing, given refusal letter with request for more skype logs, and passport given back, I have been looking at older forums here and seen mention of USCIS, my question this evening: "does this mean our application was sent back to USCIS? or is it still at the embassy in Tunisia?" Thank you all for your supportive words!

  3. still waiting AP, senator office says about 90% of all AP's take no longer than about 60 days, but can be anytime, and says no matter how many times you inquire status or email, they will not tell you why you are in AP or how long it will take, so we just need to be patient and focus and wait, and soon we will get that most important phone call in our lives, good luck to all

  4. Interview today, and my husband received a 221g stating his file will require AP. I'm in shock. I don't know what to do.

He has his passport; they said they'll ask for it back when they need it. They didn't ask for any other documents.

what did they check mark on the 221g form? it should have a X next to the reason for refusal, ours was hand typed in the first, it specifically stated skype logs etc, so we gave chat, phone, medical insurance, look closely at refusal worksheet, this is not a denial, they are just doing some detail processing. they gave my husbands passport back as well, they will call when AP complete, and be sure he takes his passport with him, they will take it at that time. Take care

  5. we are still waiting AP, I called embassy few times, and could not get answers, so my husband went to embassy, he was told still processing and they have not forgotten about us, it just takes time to review all material, and not a denial just requires more processing, and checking online case status, you can put any random # in the field and it gives same response, so checking status online does not work, we are patiently waiting, and patients is are only way,

    take care

  6. so sorry to hear about your long wait, No my husband has not received phone yet to come back for Visa, but we are hopeful by next week, I called the Embassy from USA, and ours is in review, he told me I added an extra 2 numbers on the end of our case # example -01 and now they have everything and give it a week, we have already waited 2 now, very frustrating! slightest little excuse to delay, How do you check your Status? Take care and hope you hear soon

  7. today my husband took back to embassy, 1000 pages of skype chat log, phone bill 3 months back, pay stub showing I have paid his medical insurance since march 1st, a letter from a co-worker friend and a 2 page letter from me, that my daughter signed as well. embassy told my husband they make decision in 3 days, max 1 week, if deny he may get phone call or letter in mail, I pray we get approved. thank you all very much for the support

  8. its not a denial i got my interview at the same embassy end of October and they gave me the same letter 221G asking for evidence. in my Case it was a marriage contract issued from the township. after i brought that to them they gave me my visa

did your husband make his interview ? if yes

did he ask them how the interview was ?

ohh, thank you so much for reply, yes my husband made it to interview, waited about 1 and half hours, then called back to answer 5 questions, sorry, I not know yet what questions, we are very sad, and need much sleep, we will post soon. no he did not ask how interview was, but they told him all documents I sent where very very thorough, and very good, just missing recent chat logs to show ongoing relations, but as most, we hoped for approval, so we are staying strong, and sending skype logs, with the help of my wonderful daughter, we emailed them to consulate, but of course will be mailing thru post office as well.

Thank you all for your positive feedback!

  9. Thank you all so much for the feedback, a little about us, we met online Oct 2010, I spent 14 days in Tunisia with his family in their home, we married second week in Tunisia in their home, we skype every Sat/Sun since I arrived back home, 2 or 3 hours a day, both our families know about marriage, as well as both our workplace, I sent proof he is added to my health insurance, phone bill, electricity, rent lease, I believe they are just wanting to see ongoing relationship, We Love Each Other So Much, and this is very sad today, I have additional question, Please, How do you print skype Logs? Thanks a bunch,

  10. my husband had his Interview today, he was not approved at Interview, he was handed his passport back and given a letter, in Section 221 G, they are asking for more Skype logs.

we have age difference of 19 yrs, and married on first meeting, my work prevents me from

taking time off work, I work in a Hospital. All other documents where plentiful and complete, please help, we are very very sad, Does this mean he was Denied?

  11. thank you all so much! you have been a great help. I still have one last question, sorry, but about translation, does Embassy use a List of translators for documents, or is the translations we supplied good, from our own source? they have been certified in Tunis into english and french and copies in arabic. again, thank you and best to all, I am just sooooooo happy! and do not want anything to surprise us at my husband interview date,

  12. hi, the documents not in english, must be translated in english.most io offers can speak both languarges. the air line tickets purchest the cheapest one if the round trip is cheaper get that one, when you arrive in the united states a week or two call the airline and cancel the return flight.

thank you so much for your help! :) we have documents translated in arabic/english/french, we were concerned we should have used one of the embassy's translators, like we had to choose from list like medical doctor. and thank you we will go ahead with round trip ticket :)

  13. hi friends,

we have a couple of questions, we don't want any surprises when my husband goes for his interview, he has interview Nov 15 in Tunis,Tunisia, medical next week, first question:

    1) we do have all our documents translated and at the embassy waiting interview,

"were we supposed to use one of the consulates translators on a list from embassy"?

(ex. like the medical doctor list or something).

    2) POE, round trip plane ticket is much less expensive,

"will my husband be denied at POE if he has a round trip plane ticket"?

thank you all for your help! :)

  14. then is better i wait more time with CR1 VISA

BETTER TO K3 VISA MORE FASTER

I believe your wait time not much difference, I advise go ahead with I-130 and ignore K3.

we too petition both, and approve both, but I-130 approve and now sending payment for AOS. moving fast, but We too, still have many questions. My advice is Read Read Read, there is a world of information on this site and alot of good guidance, and We continue to read and ask questions. Just always feel free to ask away here on this site, the people are wonderful!

  15. Great! Congrats! They did the same exact thing for me last week. I filed both and now NVC told me today that since USCIS approved both at the same time, NVC would automatically merge the 2 together to continue on with the CR1. Great news because I was afraid this would cause some type of delay. Good luck on your journey:) Seems like it's already in a great direction

Thank you too! And Congrats as well! guess now we wait for NVC # then wait for for bill, then send choice of agent, so much to think about, but the end is Happiness! Good luck to you and yours :)

  16. im a march filer and i was told that i should expect another 2 1/2 months on my i130 because they are currently processing i130s from january 16th....my only question is does that even make sense? ive seen plenty of ppl on here who were april or march filers and received their noa2 already (not taking anything away from u guys congrats  )....if somebody can please clarify. Thanks.

i too, received NOA1 date March 27, i called uscis last week, but i did not get any sort of answer, only it take 5 months and call back if over 5 months. she was polite, but i also watching the timelines here, i have not received an RFE so far, so i can only pray they are reviewing our application and get an approval soon.

  17. The Alien Registration Number is a 9 digit number of the form A###-###-###. If he has never been assigned one (having had no previous interactions with USCIS) he will have been assigned one in the course of USCIS adjudicating the initial petition. It should be visible above the beneficiary's name on the approval notice form the initial petition.

thank you so much, I would have done this incorrect.
