this past sunday (12/12) we received the email notification for the visa interview on 1/10 at 12:30 p.m.
the wait was a little over five weeks. if i had been a little more diligent, maybe would have made the december interviews before everything slowed down...(=___=)
but i shall look on the bright side.
please wish my uncle and his family good luck!

called nvc again today and the lady said they haven't even sent the completed case to the guangzhou consulate yet and guz will schedule the appointment. what the heck?! i remember seeing something about this online somewhere...but another rep said nvc scheduled the appointments.
grrr. so slow. i tried to keep a close watch. submitted documents as soon as possible hoping my uncle and his family will be here by christmas but guess it wasn't meant to be (;_

Welcome Overstreet..
Good to know that a FB4 Visa member is getting the processing electronically.
But most of them here are getting things done through 'NVC Human'ly...
Right now the only inhouse expert is VJ member "Darnell"..
Once u r done with your interview, then we will ask U more questions and consider you as the FB4 Electronic Processing Expert..
Right now i can only provide the link to Electronic Processing
Good Luck for the Interview..
still waiting for the appointment letter. hopefully it'll come this week.
well, i'm not the petitioner (mother) nor the beneficiary (uncle). just sort of the monkey in the middle who does all the work...
i'll definitely try my best to help. i know the frustration. i've been @__@ half the time.

case was completed on 11/4/2010 through electronic processing. it's been a little slow lately, but ideally, when should we expect to be contacted regarding the interview date?

I am a U.S. citizen petitioner and have opt in for electronic processing for my brother, the beneficiary/applicant. Within the past month, I have sent in the completed I-864 and DS-230 forms. About two weeks later, I get an email from the NVC titled, "[case number] (CHECKLIST COVER LETTER)" which includes information on the documents I need to send in for the I-864 forms. It says I still need to send in the P3 Supplement Information Form and also the passport photographs of each applicant.
The thing is, I keep getting the same "(CHECKLIST COVER LETTER)" email. I have followed the directions they provided, and I feel like I am doing everything correctly, so I am wondering what's the problem?
In terms of format, I combined the checklist email, P3 Supplement, and photographs into one pdf file and named it, "[case number] (Additional Docs)"
I've called the NVC three times and they're no help at all...

update: everything went through!
basic info...
category: f4
consulate: guangzhou, china
priority date: 9/2001 (current on 8/2010)
case completed: 11/4/2010
interview date: 1/10/2010
[completed through electronic processing --- total time: ~5 months]
uncle (principal applicant), cousin, and aunt arrived at the guangzhou consulate on 1/10 before 12:30 p.m. to drop off documents. he said they only took the I-864 and I-864A. i forgot about this during the filing process, but remember to make copies for each additional applicant! (in case anyone else out there is a block head like i am).
uncle and his family went back again the next day (1/11 @ 7:30 a.m.) for the actual interview....they arrived about a half hour early, were sworn in, then the interview began. the questions that were asked:
- what is the petitioner's name?
- what's your relation to the petitioner?
- where does the petitioner currently reside?
- do you (principal applicant) intend to work after arriving in the u.s.?
- what are the names of the other applicants and what is their relation to you?
they received the final results before 10:00 a.m. guangzhou time (around 6:00 p.m. pacific time)
after almost ten years of waiting...can't believe they're finally coming (after chinese new year)!
