My friend has been a student for the last 4 years in the States. She is getting married in July back in Canada to a US citizen. She is not finished school yet... She hasn't even began to look at the immigration issues. Myself, going through the K1 process currently, am feeling very nervous for her. Will she be okay to get married here, because she can re-enter the US on a student visa??? After the wedding she can file the I 130?

Question 2: Issuing City for passport?

Does anyone know what to enter here. A city is not listed on my passport. I am from Canada.

When filling out our paperwork we wrote down Calgary as the closest Consulate to us. We have now learned that Calgary does not process K1 visas. I am a bit concerned about where our paperwork will be sent and what we should do. We just received our NOA2.. Any ideas??

Does anyone know if I need to get a criminal record check from the US? I lived there for 5 years but my understanding is that I do not need one from the US, only from Countries other than the US. I just want to be sure.
