  1. Hi All,

I recently passed my interview (on April 28th) at the Montreal Consulate and was advised by the interviewer that my Visa will be ready in 4 business days. I don't see any updates in regards to a waybill/tracking DHL number on my account (www.usvisa-info.com) yet. How long has it taken you to receive your waybill/tracking number once you've passed your interview?

I'm curious because I'm trying to figure out when to notify work that I'm officially leaving!

    Thanks!

  2. Thanks Inky & CBM.

Inky - I was wondering if my packet 3 was overkill (eg. the documents I submitted) but I sent in all those documents because my packet 3 stated that I gather all the docs/forms and get everything in on their checklist. I guess I was overly paranoid of any hold up so I sent in everything so I prepared it all for Packet 3 submission.

  3. Hi All,

I received my Packet 4 for my K1 visa (YAY!). The list of documents that I have to bring similar ones I had to submit for Packet 3 (ex - birth certificate, police certificate, passport sized photo).

So I'm okay with getting all the documents again but my question is in regards to the passport picture. I submitted 2 passport pictures for Packet 3 and have 3 left for the medical exam.

Now that they're asking for an additional 2 pictures, should I re-take NEW pictures for the Consulate & medical exam OR just keep the 3 original ones in the hopes that the Montreal Consulate has the 2 I've already sent to them on file?

Medical exam - how fast does the medical office process the results? I still have to schedule my exam for the office in Toronto.

    Thanks so much!

  4. Hi All, just a clarification on this - so it's really easy to change an interview date? From the people I spoke to at the Consulate (via phone) they all seem to advise to just stick to one date because it's "very difficult" to change. From this thread it seems as though I can just go online and change it at a whim. Thanks!

  5. Thanks for the number, Jeannie! I called and while the office received it (they confirmed that someone signed for it), it hasn't been updated in the system (which I knew already). They said that it can take a couple of weeks for them to update my profile so I'll have to wait. Thanks again!

  6. Hi All,

This is in regards to K1 Packet 3 - it was successfully sent to the Montreal US office as per DHL's tracking status.

However, is the Montreal office supposed to update my account info on the US Visa Service site? eg. state in the "Account summary" section that they received it and processing it?

I'm just hoping that it wasn't shipped to the office and just sitting on someone's desk right now.

Also, does it really take them up to 6 weeks to review the package? You can probably note that I'm getting antsy.

    Any feedback is greatly appreciated.

    Thanks all!

  7. Hi, I recently received a letter (packet 4) from the Montreal US Consulate in regards to a sending them a number of forms (DS156, DS156K, DS230, DS160 etc) to review prior to my medical exam and interview. While the letter does NOT advise that I have to pay the $350 USD visa fee, the website (canada.usvisa-info.com) that the letter directs me to to set up my DHL location advises that I have to pay the fee by the time I submit my DS160 form.

The issue is that when I log into the site I cannot find the webpage to actually pay for the visa. I see the fee payment options on the left menu but unable to follow the directions as the MRV link is no where to be found.

I have tried calling in to pay but they ask for my credit card information prior to asking my for any identification (ex - case number, passport number etc) so I'm reluctant to go this route as it doesn't seem to connect my case number with the payment.

I have tried calling to speak to a US Visa phone rep and she wasn't sure of the process as she only dealt with non-immigrant visas. She seemed to think that I didn't need to since it didn't explicitly specify in the original letter from the Consulate that I have to pay now.

    Any advise is GREATLY appreciated!
