  1. The visa is in the passport, so if she got told to pick up her visa o0n a certain date, that means she will get her passport back that day.

That is what I thought but that's not what they wrote me. At the same time, I have noticed in previous emails that their english is not the best so now that's why I asked the question.

  2. I trully thank all of you for your responses and it helped me a lot. Now the great news for me is that I email the US Embassy in Armenia with this information about my assets in the bank and they responded by saying that, that I totally meet the requirements in lue of this information. All I need to do is have my wife give them a copy of my bank statement and we will be good to go.

Again to all of you, thanks from my heart.

  3. I would like to know if anyone can tell me if I qualify to support my wife? I have an AIG of $17,200 but I also have $22,000 in my saving account. I am wanting to support my wife and she is by herself. No kids or anyone else. Can someone please tell me if I need to file anything other than a I-864 to file for her? Thanks for any help at all.

  4. My wife went to her interview on the 10th of May, 2011. As far as we know, her interview went well but she was told that I needed to supply them with my most current taxes which was for 2010, copy of my w2's, and a I-134 affidavit of support. I supplied those for her and she turned them in on the 16th of May and they sent her an email saying that they received the documents on the 19th of May and that they will contact her in the "near future". Since then we have not heard a word on our case. I sent them an email and all they could tell me is that they will process the case in the order that they received it and that they are not staffed for the amount of cases they get daily. Does anyone know how much longer we have to wait or is there anyone we can plea our case to? Please help.

  6. I got married a few mothes ago to my wife in Armenia. I came back and filed the I130 and I129f assuming that I would be going the K3 Visa route but from what I understand, the two forms will be processed at the sametime and that would close my K3 Visa. And I am an American citizen. Now that, that the K3 avenue is closed for me, What do I file next in order for my wife to come here to the U.S. and be with me? What can I do next so that she will be here the fastes route?

  7. All due respect to all that posted a comment but I do believe you are wrong about k3 visa because information about the process is still on both the USCIS and Travel. org websites. I also have spoke to immigration office directly several times and they have told me nothing about the k3 visa not being active. In addition I also have spoke to several immigration lawyers and they have not said anything about k3 not existing.

  8. I am an american citizen and on September 22nd, 2010 went to Armenia and got married.

I have filed a I-130 and received the I-797 back. I also have filed the I-129f. My question to you is there anything else I need to do? I want to get the K-3 visa for my wife. Do I need to request anything to get a K-3 visa for her? And if yes, what and where? I also read somewhere on the net that I needed to send the I-129f form to the same address that I sent the I-130. Is that true? My I-130 was sent to Chicago and the I-129f was sent to Texas. Is this a problem? Should I send another copy of the I-129f to the Chicago office? Please, please, please help me for I am lost. Thank you for your time.
