I have had my interview on Jan 11 and got request for evidence and I sent that right when I got home. The guy who interviewed us said that once we sent him the things asked for then he will approve it. However, I haven't heard anything since then and when I call USCIS, I don't get to customer service. It is just a touch tone call the whole time. What # do I call, where I can talk to someone about the pending case?

Congratulations to all who have gotten their approvals for EAD. I have also gotten an email today saying that they have mailed a notice for approval. My hubby can finally get a job!!! yayy

The USC is not applying to adjust status, only the immigrant fills out the G-325A.

If you file for the EAD and AP at the same time as the I-485, then the fees for those forms are waived. The total cost for sending in all 3 is $1070.

The interview was held in Baghdad, Iraq and No he hasn't received his passport yet.

The validity date on the NOA2 really doesn't matter. It's the expiration date on the Visa that will matter, which is usually 6 months from when it was issued.

The date on the NOA2 simply means that action needs to be taken on your petition by that date. It seems you've done so, since you're at the visa issuance stage, so don't worry.

Sounds like after you submit the requested documentation that they will send his passaport back with the Visa issued inside , Good Luck!

Ok so my fiance's interview was today and things went pretty well. But I have a question, the embassy asked him for 3 things that will have to send to them but they also took his passport from him and told him that he will get it back in 4 to 8 weeks. Does that mean his interview has been approved?

Maybe you need to get another co sponsor they need the tax return is my understanding

She's also going to give us the W2 forms...This is so frustrating cuz it's hard to find a co-sponsor...

I have a question about the things that the co-sponsor has to give..We have a friend who is going to be our co-sponsor but she doesn't want to give us the tax return. Is it ok if we don't give the embassy the tax return but give them an employer letter and pay stubs?

Yes, but you can skip the asset section. Just leave that part blank. Indicate you are unemployed and have no income, then sign and date the otherwise completed affidavit.
