Hello, I've been really busy lately and I didn't post it right away but on 05 Feb i received my 10yr green card (yaaay finally ). Couple weeks before that I received a notification in the mail saying the card is in production and the date of decision was 01/23/2015.

I want to thank everyone that answer to all may questions when I had during this entire process and also good luck to everyone that is still waiting for the approval and also for those that will apply in future . And congrats to the ones that have been approved also!!

Hi, everyone. Got my GC in the mail today. Weird that they're using my CGC's picture on my 10 year GC because I had my biometric done. Anyways, glad that it's over! Thanks for all the help and support, guys!

On July 16, 2014, we mailed the new card directly to the address we have on file. You should receive your new card within 30 days. If you do not, or if you move before you get it, call customer service

Hi all!

I AOS March 2012, all went good and I got approved AOS june 2012. I sent my ROC papers May 7th, and I got an email today saying my card is in production . I am so happy! I did not need biometrics!

My question is: how long after I get the email saying my card is in production do I actually get the new card? Thanks

Hi, I just submitted and e-request to find out what is happening with my biometrics. After I submitted it appeared a message that said I will get an answer around July 15, that's quite a while .

I noticed that the email was optional on the e-request form, so if I wasn't to put the email, how or where I can see their answer?

If I don't get the letter for biometrics tomorrow I will fill out an e-request service

They will notify us through mail, email? or how we know in case the biometrics are waived?

So, I just called to "test the waters"... Tier1 at its best: repeated the same bullshit over and over, my NOA receipt number doesn't work because "my case has not been activated yet", "please allow 30 to 45 days", "you will receive a biometrics appointment letter". I asked her to put a service request but she said "they don't offer that type of service".

I haven't gotten a biometrics app. letter either and same when I tried to check online it didn't work because the case is not been activated. Hopefully we will get a letter next week!

Good luck! We waited 2 days after the 90 days past to send the package. We wanted to make sure doesn't get there to soon. Some months have more or less days, so we checked when exactly 90 days were from the green card expiration date.

I'm a bit late here but how can I add myself to the may thread? I sent the I-751 on 05/15/14 and received the NOA1 in the mail on 05/22/14. Waiting for the biometric app. now!

Or you could wait for a year and get the American passport.

I thought about that, but my passport expire this year in December, and if I have to travel out of the U.S. I won't be able because I won't have a valid passport

Thanks cazzers for the information! I called the embassy in W.DC. today and the lady I spoken with confirmed that I have to go in person to W.DC. to renew my passport. Also, I will have to register the marriage certificate in Romania, and yes I can do it at the embassy instead of going to Romania.

Next step is to plan a trip to W.DC and hope that everything will go well and fast and I will post how everything went!

I'm currently in the ROC process, hopefully everything will go well, but my Romanian passport will expire at the end of the year and I have few questions about the process of renew it. All your feedback will be really appreciated

From the research I did it looks like I have to go in person at the Romanian embassy in W.D. to fill out the application. Does anyone was able to do that at the consulate closer to where he/she lives or is MANDATORY to go at the embassy? I tried to call the consulate office in W.D. but so far no one is answering, therefore I sent couple email and I'm waiting for a reply.

Also, I read few posts here and I found out that I have to register my marriage in Romania in order to renew my passport?

1. Is mandatory to register my marriage in Romania registers ? or is only necessary to register the marriage in Romania if I want my married name on the renewed passport?

2. If I renew my passport but will still be in my maiden name, will be there any issues because the green card is with my married name? for example if I travel?

3. In the case that I have to register my marriage in the Romanian registers, I will be able to do that at the embassy in W.D. or do I have to go in Romania?

I just had my biometrics done today and everything seems to have gone just fine.how long will it take for me to get a word on my EAD...or any type of notification.

U can check on USCIS site your case status.

You can put "unknown." AP is routinely approved for people with pending I-485.

We did put "unknown" and i guess was no problem

Hi everyone,today i had the biometric appointment which was fast and easy I did need the letter for the appointment (recived in mail),the passport and the marriage certificate (for name change).Now we're waiting for the next steps Good luck to all!

I did obtain a learning permit in my maiden name.They did check my notification letters for EAD and AOS, and didnt count that i had allready a permit in Romania Seems like after i get the real EAD card i will be able to change the maiden name on permit with the new name.Also before i did apply for permit, i did apply for a FL ID(wich was in my maiden name)because i did need it when to apply for permit.Good luck!

Did find out that i need EAD for school and for drive too if i want the license with the new name on it.

Because my I-94 did expire,i need the EAD to change the name on SSN.
