I have an interview on the 08/08/2012 at the US Embassy in Ghana.The demised president of Ghana will also be buried on the 08/08/2012 and that makes it a holiday.So what should i do now?Do i have to write to the embassy for a different interview date?Please help.

How long does it take the Uscis to approve a petition after a RFE has being submitted.We are already outside the normal processing time.

This process can be frustrating at times.Can you imagine that after 9 months of waiting for the uscis to approve our petition,the rather sent is a RFE.The USCIS wants us to send them pictures of our wedding,email,phone records notarized letters from our friends and families.They also wants us to send then letter from our employers confirming they know about our relationship.This is very annoying because we have already sent them all this evidence 9 months ago when we mailed our petition.Does this means the have misplaced all the documents we sent them or this is just an act to frustrate us?Please help us if you have any experience.God bless you.

How many people had to wait for 10 months before they received their approval from the USCIS?.

The old Ghanaian passport is still valid according the legislation of Ghana.So there is no way the us embassy can render it invalid in any way.Its still valid.

Yes we did all that but still no approval yet.There some people who are waiting for 7 and half months now.All the say we pray it comes soon.

You are not alone.We receive our NO1 on the 18th of October and have still not received an approval.We contacted the Uscis and was told they are conducting a background check.This is very heart breaking and challenging.Its very bad when others are being approved withing 2 to 3 months and we have to wait for 7 months and still no approval.We pray an hope we receive it this coming week.

How long does a USCIS background check takes.Our petition is 6 months one day today and we are still waiting for our approval notice.We sent the uscis a letter last week and they sent us one back saying they are doing a background check and will update our status as soon as they are done with that.
