After a week, email the US embassy in Chennai to check if they have received it. If not, just email them again after every 2 days until you hear anything from them. They sent my packet 3, and it got lost in the mail. Dont wait for it to come in the mail. They will confirm it via email and will send you the packet in the email when you contact them.
