    waiting for my fiance to recieve his packet. I was told by the visa specialist that an interview date is given after he returns the forms from the packet just sent to him on April 27th. hm??

      I was told the same by one of the visa specialists but that's not how it happened. I called the visa specialist every day until they gave me an interview date. Neither my fiance nor I ever received a packet or letter or anything letting us know of the interview date. I had to call the Embassy to request a "duplicate" packet since the original one was never delivered. You need to be proactive because otherwise things might not go as they should and you would miss the interview...

      Unless they changed the procedure, the visa specialist is wrong. Keep calling the specialist and they will let you know when your interview is. Also, I thought that the interview letter was already in the packet that the beneficiary receives in the mail...IDK sometimes they work on their own terms and with their own rules lol...but don't worry you are almost there!
