  1. hi dear.. first of all there is no such thing such as a sign or whatever its either ur gonna get it or they will put u under AP. Yes they do take your passport from you then they ask u to pay the fee by fedex. the duration various could be anywhere from 2-4 weeks. so stay cool things will fall into place soon inshallah.

Yes, a day after he took more pictures to them he got a call to bring his passport in. Thats been a little over 2 weeks now, we are just waiting to get the visa now. :)

  2. My fiancé has only lived in Pakistan for maybe four years of his life [toddler and younger teenager years]. He grew up in Saudi Arabia. He went to London at age 17 for college and has lived there ever since [he's now 22]. So, I'm not sure on what they could think he'd be hiding? lol

It sounds to me that he needs to go back to Pakistan because this is where the London embassy is assuming the case will be sent to. You need to ask the London embassy about this question. Tell them he has plans to move to KSA and ask if the case can be sent there.

Me and my husband have not had to many problems with the embassy in Riyadh, KSA. His interview was on Oct. 12th, we are approved he will be receiving the visa in about a week. His case was very similar. My husband was moved to KSA when he was just 4 years old and has lived there most of his life but he is an Egyptian citizen.

If your case had not been denied then as soon at it gets to the embassy, which should take about 2-3 weeks his new interview would be in about a month. Then for three weeks they will keep his passport as they process the visa for you.

Don't know if I helped any. I'm not a professional at this or anything but really our case has gone pretty smoothly.

  3. Hello everyone :)

Our interview was last Tuesday but we needed more photos. On Saturday they called my husband and told him to bring in his passport to leave at the embassy. When there he was told that our case had been completed and approved!!!! :D

OMG I'm sooo happy. This is a year and a half of work finally done!! Could anyone tell me what steps we will have to take next? What are the procedures at the airport when the immigrant first enters the US?

I hope everyone that is going through this process has a happy ending very soon.

    Good luck everyone.

  4. Hello everyone,

I'm new here but me and my husband are in the final steps of a marriage visa. He went for his interview on 10/12 just a few days ago. They asked for more photos which he took up the next day and they told him they would call him with their answer. The problem is that we have been living away from each other for about a year and a half, we both work a lot and so really only talk a couple times a week. The only evidence for our relationship that he took to the interview was 25 photos, a few emails, and a receipt for a planned trip for our second anniversary.

My question is does anyone have experience with the Riyadh consulate? I have read other entries that state that they keep your passport but with my husband they did not, is this a sign of a problem? How long should it take now for them to give an answer?

Thank you all for your help. :)
