Biometrics is usually not done in a USCIS field office. It's usually done at an Application Support Center (ASC). My wife and step-kids had their biometrics at the ASC in Oakland, but their AOS interviews were at the USCIS field office in San Francisco.

I had my Biometrics appointment in Detroit field office.. being that its only 1hr drive for me, im wondering why my initial interview would be scheduled in Cleveland (2hrs drive) ? Been married 10 years, 2 kids.. living here on L1 visa.. wife and kids are dual AU/US. have mortgage etc here..

HELP !! Im in Fuzhou (China) currently, and my host employer here has been to 2 different PSB's to request certificate and they state they dont issue them !!!

On another note. My company is just about to file an L1 visa to transfer me. Is it worthwhile to go this path (L1) now.? Usually these take 4 weeks.

Hope for some guidance here.. Currently going through IR1 process (NOA1 dated Mid Jan 11). (Wife US, Me AUS).

I have a B1 business visa which I obtained after NOA1 for business travel to the US (Company headquarters) which I travel regularly for genuine business (and of course spend time with family on the weekends).

Possibility of company transfer to the US prior to my I130 being approved (NOA2) and subsequent processes.

What is best course of action here ? Company is aware of i130 and B1visa.

We signed up to receive case updates on the USCIS website..

We have received our LOA1, but for some reason, it will not load the case saying it doesnt exist ?

They having some system problems (as indicated to my wife) ?

Dilema.. Hope some of you can point us in the correct direction.

Current Situation.. Im living in China (Foreign Spouse), and wife (US Spouse) is in US. We are just about to submit i130 while she is in US. Originally we planned for me to come to US once the process is completed, but today I found out that my work will keep me in China till Dec 2011.. So that being the case, and i will be in a more westernised city in China from January, i'm thinking to have my wife and daughters come and join me in China for 8 months.

Question is, do we hold off now for the submitting whilst in US and potentially not be able to travel there to visit, or apply for DCF in China say from July (when she would have been resident in China for 6 months ? She does have a residency visa and would have an entry stamp in her passport.

Anyone know of current DCF processing timelines in China ? from go to whaoo?
