Those who are speaking to you over the phone simply reads off a source that NOBODY should trust as it is never updated on-time: their own database.
However if you have the copy of that "IR6", I think you are fine. Usually local office cases does take a while to be updated into the system. Sometime it's not even updated into the system after the applicant has received their card long before.
I think you are fine. Give it a few weeks, you should get your card soon. If you don't see it in 3 months? I say call them on that.
PS why don't you file your N-400? Mine ROC is 10+ months in and I've filed my N-400, now they are going to treat my ROC and N-400 application as a single application...
ok thanks for the reply but do you think that once they have approved my case and also i have received i797 from Vermont service center saying that my new classification is IR6 that they will go back and cancel my approval?

hi to all,
me and my wife were called for an interview after 16 months of filing of our joint i751 application. At the interview the examiner asked us general questions . like our date of births , where we work etc. he said that we are called for an interview because my wife's ex. had called them and said that we are not a real couple and we are married just for green card. interview lasted about 10 minutes.at the end of the interview he said that he is approving my case. and printed a sheet of paper saying "DECISION" my i751 is approved. new classification is IR6 . and also couple of days later i received i797 saying that my case has been approved. now i have couple of questions yesterday i called at the customer service to ask them how long will it take to receive my card. they told me that my case is still pending and it has not been approved yet. they also transferred me to some officer in the customer service and he also said the same thing . so now i am really worried that if my case is really approved or not ? and how can i really find out that my case is really approved or not? thanks any help would be really appreciated.

hello everybody , today i received a letter in response to my service request saying that, "The processing of my case has been delayed . a check of our records establishes that your case is not yet ready for decison, as the required investigation into your background remains open. " and it also says wait for another 6 months . can anybody tell me what exatly does that mean and what are they trying to find ? is it common or its just me . and is there any thing i can do to expidiate the process . this is so frustating . please reply . thanks.

i am in the same situation . i think you can also ask your congressman or senetor to inquire about your case status.
-
i live in Cary NC, i came with a CR1 visa(husband USC) .. applied October 7 received it October 14 Bio Dec 16 then zzzzzzzzzzzzz
what about you ?
hey i think you can also go to your congressman or senetor to ask about your status. these people can not just sit on your file like that after 6 months . i know for a fact that when a congressman or a senetors ask about your case they respond and work on your case.

Vermont, can you please hurry up. It's been almost 6 months. My driver's licence expires May 12 and In NJ I need my green card to get it renewed. We're down to the wire, but i know you can do it! Please! You're stressing me out!
hey can't you call uscis after 6 months and have a service request . thats what the customer service told me to call them if it is over 6 months when i called yesterday.
-
We got the text and the email today too!
"On April 19, 2011, we ordered production of your new card. Please allow 30 days for your card to be mailed to you. If we need something from you we will contact you. If you move before you receive the card, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283."
December filer on VSC.
woot woot
hey congrats!!! when did you file ?
-
This is so unfair . CSC is working on feb and VSC is still on nov.
-
hi everyone ,
i was just checking the uscis website for VSC processing time for i 751 and found out that they working on applications filed six months before. so i think people who are waiting for six months can request for service request . i must say VSC is amazingly slow.
-
Hi,
I just checked my ROC status online and it said "On March 7, 2011, we ordered production of your new card. Please allow 30 days for your card to be mailed to you. If we need something from you we will contact you. If you move before you receive the card, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283."
Does that mean I'm approved?
Thank you
which service center ?
-
hi to all ,
it seems like vsc is very slow . i was checking uscis timeline and it said they are working on applications filed 6 months before. i just wanted to know if it is more than 6 months since you have filed , can we file for any service request ? thanks .
-
I listed my 2 sons who live in Canada.
Thanks
congrats . hey did you list your step children ? i mean children of your usc spouse ?
-
hi to all
, i just wanted to know that there was a touch on my i 485 and my i 765 about 6 months before i filed for ROC i.e. , i filed to ROC in dec. 2010 and i had touch on i 485 on may 2010 . i was wondering why will there be a touch in the middle of my conditional residency ? is it common ? has it happen to any body else ? thanks .
-
hi to all,
i am not seeing any new approvals for quite some time now. specially at VSC there are no new september approvals and not a single october approval . dont you guys think thing are moving really slowly recently ? or its just me?

After what has seemed like years, we were approved for our I-751.. I will give more details about what questions they asked when habibi and I can sit down and write them down.. Thanks everyone for your prayers and your knowledge of the process.. I know we have one more step with citizenship, but the hard part is over for us.. Yayyy habibi will get his card good for 10 years.. I'm so happy and relieved considering our case.. but God is good.. thanks again
(full of emotions)
congrats!! hey what questions did they ask ..?

i completed my early bio at the atlanta asc on 01/19/11.
-
Yes, You list ALL children, this includes one born after getting CR Green-card, ones that immigrated with, and ones that remained behind, also in the case of a joint filing with US citizen spouse, you list their children too from before marriage. It says "List ALL children"
As for photos, no passport photos, however we did attach photos together from various vacations and events over past 2 years.
Copy of green-card front and back..
Copies of Driver's licenses showing same address, ... MORE: http://www.visajourney.com/content/751guide#evidence
i did not list children of my usc wife from her previous marriage ..you think that is going to be a problem..?
-
my bio app is on 1/31/2011 . i just wanted to know , do they allow early bio at atlanta asc ?
-
i recieved my noa 1 , dated 12/29/2010 .
