Hey all! Luc was approved on 9/5 for roc letter received on 9/9. I was really nervous bc I was doing grad school apps and threw our packet together in a day. we didn't have a lot of shared documents but a lease, credit card, taxes, and a bank account (which we only sent 3 statements of). I guess the fact that the all "my" bills were from a joint account proved we shared finances. Anyway I don't care! We're approved and can relax now! Thanks like always VJ users you all are amazing!!!!

Hey guys. Sorry I haven't updated my info. So we sent our packet in a week before our 90 days was up. And we didn't sign it! I really don't know why and how I didn't check it. so they sent it back, after the expired green card. We wrote a nice letter saying please except our late packet and they did.

So Saylin could you please update our info in the timeline. Packet was sent on May 20 and our NOA1 was dated May 21. Our biometrics appt letter came today and dated for June 19. Thanks!

BTW nice to see all the TSC filers from 2 years ago.

Hey guys can you please add me? Our package was sent May 6. Delivered May 8. We're kind of stressed because the check has not been cashed and my husband's green card expires today! I was doing grad school applications and put the DHS on the back burner. But I think it should be alright. Anyway we'll keep you updated on when the check gets cashed and when our NOA arrives. Hey Saylin, is it definitely required to bring your 2010 tax returns if your interview is after tax day, or is that mostly a precaution just in case they ask for it or if they're not totally convinced by the financial information you have already submitted? I haven't been able to find anything definitive in any instructions given by the Dept. of State or the embassy.

I gave my husband a copy of my 2010 taxes anyway, but I would think that if it's required, they would include it in your interview letter as one of the documents you need to bring. I was just wondering if that rule is stated anywhere. Thanks!

On the interview letter I think it says financial information. I didn't do my 2010 taxes, when they asked for "updated financial information" my husband gave them my W2 from 2010 and they didn't ask about the taxes at all! (but we also have a co-sponsor whose 2010 taxes we did turn in)

Update: Congratulations on everyone's Visa approvals. I arrived in Indonesia on May the first with a ton of paperwork (emails, phone records, IM's), pictures, etc. Well, they didn't want me in the interview saying "we will take good care of her". Lanny's interview lasted 3 or 4 minutes with only 5 questions -- How many times has he visited you, when and where did you get married, how many attended the marriage, have you been married before, how did you meet your husband? And then she said, "no problem" and gave Lanny the white paper without asking to see any of the paperwork that we had brought.

We picked up the Visa today on May 9th and our flight leaves on Friday for Seattle.

Congratulations!!! Yeah my husbands interview which was about 5 questions long. he had 2 inch thick of photos phone records, emails, proof of finances, etc. and they asked for nothing! I'm starting to think that the visa is really easy to obtain and they have all these long intricate steps as a filtering process. jokes on us :wacko:

Strange work they are doing there. Instead of bothering to look if the pack is there they send this email. :bonk:

FYI I If anyone does get a real RFE and you are sure that you sent in the correct documents/forms (photocopy your packets before you send them for evidence!) you can fight it!!!

i got my interview letter! i don't know how to track it though. it just says no packages for this number.

Saylin, I was going to wait to call NVC next Friday bc it's the first day of April. But you said don't listen and call. My interview is scheduled MAY 3!!!!!!!!!! 1 pm.
