  1. Wrong

California does a in house evalution of transcripts. The transcripts needs to be sent directly from Nursing School in PI to Cali. BON.

This is for endorsements of licenses and also for new applicants

    :dance::dance::dance::dance::dance::whistle::whistle:

nope.all you have to do is apply for a license by endorsement.that is,if u are licensed to another state.like what i did,i was licensed in boston, massachusetts and just had my license reciprocity.i think you will just have to pay for the nursys verification. (for the CA board's verification.),go to their website/\.

  2. Does anyone know why the online USCIS status system does not provide any information after the N-400 is sent to the local office for processing and the interview? My wife passed her interview 11/9 and was given a letter stating she will receive her oath ceremony letter in the mail but we have not received anything for 5 weeks now. The Online status only goes as far as the interview letter being sent which was in August.

were u able to finlly receive notice for oath?

  3. is it true that medical result for children expires after 6 months while for adults expires after 3 months? I'm done with my advance medical last Nov. 24. I'm worried if it will expire after 3 months (and that will be on Feb. 24) and if unfortunately i will not have a interview appointment then it means that i will undergo another medical exam again...

i thought medical will expire after 6 months?

  4. When I called NVC the operator I spoke to said not to think about the retrogression at this time, and just focus on getting scheduled for the interview. They said they're not looking at the PD for January, she said they are looking at December PDs as bases on who to schedule. And since our PDs are current as of this month, we can still get scheduled. She also said they haven't received any instructions from DOS regarding the retrogression, and that they are still scheduling until this week and possibly next week.

I spoke to 3 different operators and they all said the same thing. I don't know what to think anymore. sad.gif

that's what they told me too kim.but you know,i am hoping for our husbands to be scheduled on january and by that time ,hopefully ,we already have our naturalization certificate and they can still have their visas right?

  5. It's really frustrating... it's also unfair for us if that info. from an operator is true... My case completed Oct. 22, it's my 8th week of waiting on Fri. that is why i'm really upset coz i really expected that i will have an appointment letter this week 'til mid of next week...

that is true,i have been waiting for more than 9 weeks...and i was really expecting to have n interview date, but unfortunately, retrogression happened,it's really annoying and i was really disappointed on how they forsee those approvals.jumping so quickly and now they have to go back.

  6. hi malvika, i am also waiting for interview date. could that person be possibly pulling our legs? i mean, to me, receiving an interview appt a day after a case has been completed seems a little far-fetched.

i think im still good since others whose cases were completed earlier than me havent received interview appts yet.

i know right perriteyl.same day completion and interview app date, lucky him ! mine was 9 weeks completed already--no interview schedule yet. :(

  7. Ok, I think I get how the "new scheduling system" applies to us. It doesn't! I just spoke to the supervisor at NVC and he told me the same thing, they don't have any information about the changes. He also says that the new system may actually not apply to our visa category, although ours is also an immigrant visa, it could be DCF, fiancee, etc. And according to the operator that I spoke to at ustraveldocs, he's implying that we need receive a go signal from the embassy to have the interviews scheduled, meaning they have to have the physical case files at the embassy before we can schedule. And when you read the announcement at the embassy's website, it says

    • "Immigrant visa applicants whose appointments have not been scheduled through the National Visa Center (NVC) (i.e., immigrant visa petitions approved by the U.S. Citizenship and Immigrations Services Manila) may request a visa appointment..." I guess those are DCFs, and expedited cases and of course K-1s.

I hope these help clear up some of the confusions. Although, these are just my assumptions.

So.. More calls to NVC? Yes?

did you call the NVC yet?any schedule?i saw one member here with the case completed this dec and got an interview date for jan.so again, like before we have to wait, right?and hopefully get our naturalization cert so we can finally jump ahead of the line.

  8. Hi HappyHeart Are you saying that they didn't let your husband have his medical? My husband went to St. Luke's and did his medicals on September, and that was even before his case was completed at NVC. He only brought with him a copy of the paid IV bill with the MNL case # and the other requirements.

hi kim,the rude receptionist gave him a hard time, but she eventually allowed him.my husband said--he called before he went there, and then she asked the lady if he was the only one doing the advance medical.she said no. so he was able to do it and passed.thank God.

  9. Hi Happyheart!!! I'm also at St. Lukes yesterday(Wednesday), maybe the female receptionist that i'm referring to is the one that your husband also encountered. She was really mean but she can't do anything because we are not doing anything wrong, my case completed last Oct. 22 and we have no appointment letter yet. We are done with our 1st day of medical exam and tomorrow we will come back there for our immunization and the TST result for my daughter.. Did your husband took medical exam yesterday?

yup my husband is done with his medical already and he passed.he got the results the next day...hopefully we can get our appointment letter soon.

  10. Hi Clav, i know it's validity is 1 year... Did you receive your appointment letter from NVC? I'm expecting mine this 2nd week of December which is exactly 8 weeks of waiting... I'm done with my first day of medical, we will come back to St. Lukes on Friday noon for my med. exam result, immunization and for the result of my daughter's TST... hope that all the results will be ok...

I'm just kind a disgusted with one of the personnel who is checking the requirements for medical in St. Lukes... She's really rude telling me things that makes me feel as if i don't know what i'm doing.. She asked me if i really can't wait for my appointment letter and why am i insisting to undergo advance medical without having interview date... I just ask her back if am i the only one who have done advance medical... and got no answer from her...

hi sgam, you are right,my husband told me that one of the female receptionist there is rude.she did the same thing to my husband.he was there yesterday (wednesday),probably same as yours.by the way did you get your interview schedule yet?because that rude lady told my husband that she cannot have the medical without the interview date yet. and something about the photos...but what he had is the 2x2 which is written in their requirement.

did you also undergo with medical without an interview schedule yet?

  11. can't really tell you if it is regarding visa availability or something else. but from how NVC explained it to, the embassy lets them know how much they can take in and then NVC schedules appointment until they fill up that number given to them. and i've known some of our kababayans who got their NVC file completed, but had to wait for their interview until there was a visa available. hopefully this isn't the case so that you and kim11 can get finally get scheduled for the interview. but for sure, NVC is not waiting for you to be a citizen to get to the next step.

but yeah...once you guys get a hold of that citizenship certificate, get your case updated to a USC petition so you can jump to the front of the line (if you guys are still waiting for interview at that point).

thanks.so after the oath, can i call the NVC or USCIS for upgrade?or i have to wait for the certificate?

  12. just an addition to what i last posted (couldn't edit the post anymore)...

that's why i told kim to update her petition to a USC petition once she takes her citizenship oath. because that will bump her up to the IR-1 or CR-1 visa category (depending on how long they have been married) and these visa types does not have to wait for visa availability. USC petitions are not subject to the visa waiting because there a visa is readily available for them once the whole process is completed.

yeah i know that too,i am having my interview schedule next week for citizenship.but what i can't understand is are they still waiting for us to be citizen before they schedule interviews? because the visa bulletin stated that:

*NOTE: For December, 2A numbers EXEMPT from per-country limit are available to applicants from all countries with priority dates earlier than 01MAR10. 2A numbers SUBJECT to per-country limit are available to applicants chargeable to all countries EXCEPT MEXICO with priority dates beginning 01MAR10 and earlier than 01AUG10. (All 2A numbers provided for MEXICO are exempt from the per-country limit; there are no 2A numbers for MEXICO subject to per-country limit.)

you think, the reason why we are not scheduled yet is because of the visa availability?i dont get the visa bulletin then.and when i called the NVC the operator said it's because of the capacity of the embassy, but when i asked her if they are prioritizing the citizens first (one of the perks of being a USC),she apparently has no idea of what she is talking about.

  13. thanks everyone!

yes it was. once i got my citizenship, i called up USCIS to update my petition. kapatid...you're just not waiting for your citizenship interview correct? so your petition is an LPR petition under the F2 visa? i stand corrected on this, pero that's maybe why you haven't been scheduled yet. since it's an LPR petition right now, it is waiting for your priority date to become current.

here's what you do. once you do your interview and they tell you you've passed, ask them when the oath taking will be. IO will be able to tell you when you're gonna be scheduled (usually the following month). but if your interview was let's say the first week of the month, ask them if there was any way you can take your oath with the batch the same month. and then as a reason, just tell the IO that you have a LPR petition on the final stages and it's being held up because it's not a USC petition as far as getting assigned an interview date.

then once you take your oath and get your USC certificate, the first thing you need to do is contact NVC and tell them to update your completed petition from an LPR to a USC petition. you're most likely gonna have to submit a copy of your certificate.

but her priority date is current, and mine too. according to visa bulletin they are processing aug 2010 and my priority date is 2009 and kim's is 2008.so i guess NVC are prioritizing citizens first than LPR's.

  14. yes, i had my medical last Oct 7-8

according to the St Luke's nurse i talked to, all confirmed interview schedules will be cancelled when you go through the sputum test. in my case (did medical w/no interview), once i get a slot, that they'll be informed by the US Embassy about it then they'll have it cancelled..(i will still call SLEC to make sure my Dec 2 schedule will be cancelled, just for my peace of mind)

    hope this info helps :)

yup it helps a lot..thanks for the info! :)

  15. hi all,

for my first thread post here in VJ, i want to share that we just got our interview schedule: Dec 2, 830am =)

hubby called up NVC a few minutes ago and was told about the good news and that the email confirmation will be sent shortly.

BUT since we're waiting for my sputum culture on Dec, this is or will be cancelled by St. Lukes..

now, we're just looking forward 'til culture-result day and hopefully SLEC will/can give us an early interview schedule.

were u able to have medical without the schedule interview schedule?and what do you mean by "this will be cancelled by st.luke's?"your interview? your prompt response will be appreciated.thanks
