      what is an AP? Have you had an interview before you got AP?

      Yep, had the interview May 26. AP = administrative processing and it usually means they are doing background checks. It's extremely common for Middle Eastern males.

    It's hard to tell. Mine emailed USCIS and they replied saying that our case was "currently under review by an immigration adjudications officer". The next day, we got the approval. I am not sure if our case was being looked at before the Senator's office emailed them or not.

    Totally understand that. As soon as it hit 150 days, I emailed my Senator's office again. It's hard to see people who filed after you being approved before you. :(
