  2. Hi Guys its been a while since we ave been on the forum roughly two years. Happy New Year

We just wanted to let you know we sent the I-751 ROC package yesterday and was recieved by UCIS Vermont and signed by D Renaud. So now the waiting game begins.

Wifes Green Card is set to expire at the end on this month (Cutting it close) :unsure:But Hopefully it should go smooth.

Any questions feel free to message be and i will also keep you guys updated.

    Regards,

    K and P

  3. Thanks guys!!!!!

Just to fill everyone in on the point of entry process for the wife was relatively easy. She arrived thru Atlanta went to immigration. She queued on the green card line and went thru to the the first immigration officer and he took her finger prints and scanned her passport and then she was directed to go wait in a room, where a second office opened the brown envelope and asked my wife where shes staying took her finger prints again and he told her that she could go to the social security office today and get her SS number.

I thought her SS will come automatically but i guess we have to go the the local office and apply for one.

  4. Do you go to gym as well? We have some common routines, then!

3 hours - that's a lot, man! I went only 1.5 hours, 6 times a week until my wife joined here. Now reduced to 1 hour and that also few days a week.

We used to go together when she was here 2 years back. She's pushing me to join the fitness club in new place for both of us. But with the little one, we need to rotate it :star:

How's your mom's health now? Hope she is fine now!

Having 17 babies is not bad - the same thing I told my wife too, but not 17, just 5. After first delivery, she told just one more :star:

    Loto

You know guys i would disagree about the wealth is heath. When i was just making pennies on the dollar first job after college i was at the gym every day and in good shape and now that pennies have turn to dimes

I have had little time for the gym, or it eats into my gym time. I am hoping once the wife's here we as a couple will get into a routine. I am a firm advocate in investing in once heath.

2 days guys and the bachelor with a long leash is going to be husband with a verrrry short leash

  5. Guys FYI, My wife received her passport and the infamous brown envelope today by the courier service. basically it took 5 business days to arrive after the interview.

So she is set to fly out on the 30th. She was to busy getting ready for the move that she didnt want to even talk to me. The thanks i get for all the worrying and putting up with her bikkering on why the process is taking so long etc etc.

Like to again thank every one VJ for make this process some what manageable as well as the tips and tricks, TAX Advise .

  6. I passed my 5-month time window recently from my NOA1. I called USCIS mid-day today and spoke with their first-level customer service. I told her I was outside the time window as stated on their website, so I wanted to put in a service request as suggested by the last customer service representative I called a few weeks ago. She tried putting it in, but their system was not working correctly, so she asked me to call back to put in a service request in about 2 or 3 hours. I then asked her if I can speak with a higher level customer service or an immigration officer to ask him or her about the delays with the processing time for VSC.

I was transferred to the so called "higher-level" customer rep, and he basically reiterated the same BS nonsense the last woman told me, except he behaved as though he was doing me the favor (not surprising since it is the government) as I can tell from his tone and did not even want to continue the conversation or help me much. I asked him if I can contact an immigration officer or someone at VSC either through phone or email. He answered me once that such information was withdrawn several years ago. I asked him to repeat the message as I did not hear him correctly the first time. He completely stayed silent with no intention of helping me any further. I asked if he was still on the line. And he threatened that he would terminate the call now. I told him it was very rude of him to speak this way to someone who paid a lot of money for a service that was promised in the 5-month time window and was not delivered. I threatened him back that if he hangs up, I'll have to report him, which of course I could not do since I neither had his name or his customer rep number, but since he threatened me, I felt he deserved it too. And he hung up the phone on me.

I called back USCIS and spoke to a woman who was more helpful this time around. Although she reiterated the same information as the last 2 people, I told her that USCIS continues to ask us to call back after 30 days although I called them almost 30 days ago, not to mention now I am truly outside their processing time window as promised on their website. So she must have felt a little remorse for me and gave me 2 email addresses I can contact later on at VSC. I do not understand how some people on this site get helpful people on the line at USCIS who give them more information than what they read from a script.

In summary, at the time of this writing, VSC is processing I-129F applications filed back on July 24th and if I do not hear something in the next 30 days, I should call back again. My fiancee and I are both at our wit's end about this process. We have not seen each other in over 7 months, and this wait is pushing us to our emotional limits. At this point, we don't know what to do, and I am at a loss to understand what is the next step if another month goes by and USCIS repeats this same BS all over again.

    Mr Florida,

It took us little over 5 months to get our I-130 approval from USCIS. However, i had to put a service request in . Initally when i tried to i was given the run around and the some hocus pokus that i am not elgible to place a service request and then two weeks later i called again and then i was able to place a service request. After doing so i saw some movement on the application and then a week latter i got the approval. I would suggest you place the service request first and see what happens and then contact a congress man if nothing moves further. I say this because thats what the congress man office may tell you to do first.

  7. God has done what only he can do. I prayed for God to keep the Asian lady busy on the day of our interview and he did one even better she was out sick or had a personal day off who knows.

I will try to be as detailed as possible to help my follow country people.

Interview was scheduled for 10am but my husband left the house at 6am to beat the Lagos traffic. He got to the embassy at 6.30am, 7am queue was there already. He was like God do I have to wait till 10am before I can go in. God came through again and the security guard made the announcement for 10am interview to join the queue. He did and later opened his medical brown envelope and went through security.

The security guards where cracking jokes that my husband came with a box load of evidence. (This one never travel he dey bring box)

At the 1st window, they took his passport and some other documents. He was asked to sit down within 30mins he was called for the interview proper.

He was interviewed by a blonde American lady.

    Who petitioned for you?

    What is her name?

    Was I married before?

Why did I get a divorce?

    What school did I attend?

    What did I study?

    What do I do?

    When did she travel?

With what visa? The answer to this question made the CO uncomfortable because I'm a USC by birth and she found it strange that I came back to Nigeria to marry. This lead to more serious line of questioning

Why did I attend school in Nigeria? Hubby explained I went to high school in Nigeria and traveled out for college.

How did we meet? We meet through our mutual friend. We attended high school together and she went to university with my husband.

    Why would she introduce you?

When did we start to talk? I was worried about this because I couldn't get a hold of my 2009 call records due to closed account and I only printed out the call records online from the T-mobile website. Hubby gave her the call records and she looked thru and said it seems we only talk for a few minutes on the phone.

When did we meet for the 1st time? 2009

How long did she stay? 2weeks. The CO was like you got married only after 2weeks of seeing each other. Hubby explained we kept in contact via IM, email, etc

When did you last see her?

How long was that visit? A month. This got the consular more interested why was I able to stay for so long. Hubby explained that we went to honeymoon after wedding, now she wanted to see more pictures. She was particular about one picture that we took in front of Ski-Dubai..that opened up a bunch of questions and more things to verify. Finally she looked at my hubby's passport and saw the stamp.

    Where do I live?

What is the time difference? He got this wrong he said 5hrs

What about the wedding pictures? She saw our photobook and was amazed that it was actually done in Nigeria. The book was too big to pass through the opening so my husband was flipping through the pages and she would point and ask who was in the picture.

Do I have a copy of the photo book?

Did we do any traditional wedding? Yes my husband brought out another photobook and she did the same thing, point and asked

Are there any pictures before the wedding?

Hubby said a lot of K1 people were denied the moment they said they did introduction. He also said a guy with dreads denied a lot of people.

People applying with K1 where denied simply because they could not answer what are the wedding plans?

To wrap it up hubby said he thought blondes were dumb this CO was not. :D

Overall the interview went smoothly in my hubby's own words. He was out at 12.30pm.

Thank you all so much. I'm glad I found VJ

Congrats Lady dare, now the only question is which one of us will get the Visa First. The Race is still on!!

So how long does it take them to issue the visa?

  9. OK guys heres the play by play that i promised.

My wife got to the embassy around 8:15Am ish. She went to Goulds pharmacy and put her phone and keys in the locker,

around 845 went thru security and was waiting for about 30mins for her number to be called up at the first counter.

All she did was turn her passport over and got her finger prints taken and her medical CD was returned to her.

Then she waited almost and hour and half for the second call, where she was given back all the original Civil documents and she was asked these questions after taking the oath,

    1. What does you husband do?

    2. What do you do?

    3. Where do you plan to live?

    4. When do you plan to leave for the US?

    and that was it.

The CO was very friendly. He told her to expect a visa between 7 to 11 days.

She then proceeded to the Courier desk and paid the fee and left.

she was there for about two and half hours in all, mostly waiting.

    Hope this info helps!

    kvp

  10. My IV package is been delivered and on the signature page it has a stamp of " National Visa Center 32 Rochester Ave" and in written it says "31 Ste 100 & 200."

Did anyone got this? I wonder why it says 32 Rochester Ave instead of 31 Rochester Ave. Hopefully its been delivered to the correct place.

Dont Worry its the same place !!!!! now it will take roughly about two weeks for the IV package to enter the system. SO HANG tight!!!
