    Let me guess. Did they say that they were working on July 24th? I have learned that they only update the current processing date once a month, in the middle of the month. Did you get to talk to a tier 2 Immigration officer when you called? If you are over the processing time then they should be able to put in a service request, but it seems that you have to fight for it to be done.....
