Finally we are in USA :dance: and together after around 7 months and 3 trips to India. Yesterday night we landed at Houston and the Immigration work took around an hour, because they didn't have my wife's details in the system yet. Finally they wrote the details and stamped her passport and congratulated us. My parents and other family friends were there to welcome us - it is a sweet welcome and we enjoyed it. We will be going to my place this coming Saturday.

Wohoooooo !!! My wife and Kid's Visa has approved. The CO was very nice and just asked 4 questions and that's it.

I checked with the London medical place and they're fine with it, as long as I have medical form, immunization records, police cert etc. I think it differs between country, but the UK allows scheduling of medical as soon as you get NVC #.

Just got an RFE for the IV payment which is already being sent, so I think that's a good thing. Also, medical on Monday. Is it true that you may get an earlier interview if they have medical exam info already at the embassy?

You will need interview letter for you medical, that is how it works in India I am not sure about your country.

Can you send the DS-3032 via email before NVC generates their copy? I was under the impression that you had to wait or it wouldn't be accepted.

Download DS3032 form from USCIS website fill it have your spouse sign it, then scan the form and send it to NVC. I followed this and NVC accepted it without any issues plus it is faster than sending them a physical mail.

always in your email body include

-NVC Case Number

-Beneficiary Name

-Beneficiary DOB

-Petitoner Name

-Petitoner DOB

if you forget include this then NVC will reject your DS-3032. let me know if you need any other information.

Chennai Consulate has finally published Sept List - interviews only on 14 days of the month.

As per VJ around 20 (that updated their timelines) have interviews starting from 9/7 to 11/10 (some of the Desis that got interviews recently have not updated their timelines) - 2 for Chennai, 3 for delhi and rest 12 are for Mumbai (2 are for Armenia - not sure how).

Chennai bound waiting for interview dates (as far I know) are Ganesh86, Allornuthin & Navyk (me).

M&K has interview on 10/27.

Meenu & Ansu has interview on 9/20

We have things in common - both Chennai bound, our cases were closed at the end of August, we both had case completed twice - closed cases were opened in both cases and most likely to have same interview dates.

I dont understand why is NVC taking so much time to assign Interview dates to you guys. I think I got lucky. I pray for you guys (specially NavyK who has been very helpful to me) to get your interviews scheduled soon All the best

Well I called back this afternoon and now they are saying 2-4 weeks. Looks like it might be another 10 days of waiting

What are the possible interview questions ??

Ok, I can't seem to find this info, if there's a wiki for it, I may have missed this! I have received my GUZ and IIN numbers. I am petitioner for my wife and 11 year old step daughter. They have individual GUZ numbers and IIN. I got the numbers mixed up and paid AOS fee of $88.00 on my step daughter. Now I can't seem to pay for my wife's AOS fee, says "in progress." I appreciate any information on this.

Hi, you will pay AOS bill only once that means your cases are linked with each other which is a good thing. I too paid AOS bill just once for my wife and Daughter.

It works well for some consultes where the traffic is not much. I am not sure if this really works for India where a lot of packets get couriered from NVC to different US Consulates. We can never know which is ours. I will try and check it out when I get an interview date.

Hi I just called NVC and they told me it usually takes 3-4 weeks for NVC to forward the case to our Embassy (In my case Chennai). At this time my case is still sitting with NVC.

It is not perfect but it atleast tell if a packet was sent to Chennai - hopefully it could be yours. Once this packet is delivered at Chennai, give 2 days and call them.

1- when you know from AVR that your case was forward to embassy on a particular date ( mm/dd/yyyy) lets take an example case forward to embassy August 27th 2011

2- go to DHL TRACK

3- then under track list click on track reference

4- put the reference in this shape EXP26AUG2011A and push track

I just sent ds230 hopefully they recieve the packet by nextweek and if its fast like yours ill get the interview date information the week after next it was difficult obtaining a certain document that we needed so it delayed us in sending the ds230. keep us updated on ur interview especially what questions they throw in

once you get your NVC Case number you will get a lot busier filling out forms, Collecting supporting documents, paying fees etc... so just relax for now
