  1. My husband and I started the immigration process last year. He is now here on a K-1 visa and we were married last week. We used a lawyer for the Visa process but due to finances are considering doing the AOS and Greencard part on our own. Just curious from those who have done it already... how hard was the process? is the guide that VJ shows accurate? Need help as we want to start this ASAP! Thanks all!!

  2. very true, but in looking at the USCIS site, the case numbers that were posted earlier...nothing approved yet this week. Maybe today.

Hello. Ive seen a few people say something like this. How can I see the case numbers that were posted? I know how to check my case out but cant seem to find this other page i hear about. thanks!!

  3. Hello.. Need some information that hopefully someone on VJ can help me with. My fiance is from the UK but works out of the country... he plans on going to the UK in a few weeks to visit his family for a bit, and would like to try to get his medical exam done taken care of... We arent sure he can do this as we have yet to receive out NOA2 (NOA1 date of 2July2010) Can he schedule the medical yet or does he need to wait? Also, if he can schedule it now, what paperwork is he required to take with him? Thanks in advance for any information anyone can offer!!

  4. Hey Guys!!!

For anyone going through LONDON.... my fiance and I were approved on October 12th (tuesday) and we would receive his passport and visa back withing 5 to 10 business days...

NOW two weeks to the day since the approval and STILL NO PASSPORT.. we weren't given a 221g(AP).... now just twiddling our thumbs..

Anyone else have this issue with London.. being approved on the spot and waitinf for the Visa/Passport????

Thanks and best of luck to everyone!!

Hello--- Just a question-- how long did it take for you to get your interview at the london embassy? Just trying to get an idea of how things will go once we finally receive our NOA2... your case went so fast! LUCKY YOU!

  5. Hey there.. I understand that the NOA1 date is listed on the 797, but i was confused cause my reciept date on the NOA1 and the USCIS site when I sign in to check my case status are different.. just thought maybe someone knew if one or the other was more accurate to go off of... Thanks !

USCIS sent out a 'receipt notice', formletter I-797-C

On that formletter, sent to the USCitizen Petitioner -

    there's a 'receipt date' and/or 'notice date'

That's the date to use for any 'forward looking' computations -

here at VJ it's called the 'NOA-1 date' in the timeline timeticks.

    -------------

re: moving dates on VJ - sorry, it happens, as the calendar progresses and more and more people do not enter their timeline data.

    Good Luck !

  6. Everytime I look at the VJ processing timeline, the NOA1 current processing date for K1 visas at the CSC changes. Im pretty new to the site and learnign everything as I go. Just curious if someone knows the explanation for this. Also, my NOA1 has a date of June 29th but on the USCIS site it says "We recieved your petition on July 2. Anyone know which date I can go off of? Starting to go nuts over here!!!

    Thanks everyone!

  7. Hello all... Accordign to the timeline, Visas with a NOA1 date of July 2, 2010 are being processed. I am one of the lucky June filers, and still havent received anything. USCIS website still says our case hasne been touched since July.. Just curious if anyone is having similiar experiences and if others have received an email/text notification from USCIS or their actual NOA2, then what their filing date was. Thanks so much for everyones help and input!

  8. We got are NVC case number by calling them right after we got NOA2 and was able to get the medical done before ever hearing anything from the embassy, we also had all the papers filled out when we got packet 3 and sent them the same day we recived packet 3.

    I hope this helps!

Hello, question to what you had said above... My fiance is from Wales and we would like to be prepared as you were. How do we know which Dr ne needs to see for the examination? Is there anything specific? THanks so much and congrats on everything!

  9. Hey everyone.. new to the site. Trying to get some information of recent timelines.

My fiance and I filed our I-129F Visa through the CSC on June 25 2010.

We received our Notice about a week after filing.

The last "touch" we had was July 8 2010.

We are trying to see if anyone has dealt with the current wait times and if 5 months is accurate. Cant find any info on people currently going through our situation... Any help would be great! THank you!!
