It takes 2 weeks. I just received mine. We sent in TuboTax copies for the last 4 years but will have the IRS transcripts at the interview. You have plenty of time from the time you file to the time you have the interview so I imagine doing it this way won't pose a problem.

Here in WA they give you a paper copy of your state photo ID immediately while you're waiting on the one they mail out. That would work as far as ID goes. I would get one just in case.

You don't need to be nasty about it, they said they were new to the forum, it may be slightly annoying that some don't seem to bother to read the instructions but some may not understand them as well. The way this little list is laid out will not actually effect anything, anywhere, ever, so there's no point in completely obsessing over it. Just sayin'
