Our Biometric was schedule for Dec 20, but my wife got them on Dec 10, since then no update on our I-485 or I-765.....

Normally how long does it take to issue EAD/AOS interview after biometrics done?

We just walk-in to Support Center on Dec 10 and got finger print done. So saved 10 days if that is going to make a diffirence.

We have finally received Bio-Metric appointment for Dec. 20.

I have called USCIS today and filed a Service Request about it.

ok, after 30 days, will call USCIS.

It has been about 4 weeks since NOA1 issues (Oct 29), the last "touch" on our I-765 was November 16, we have not received any biometric appoint.

how long normally it takes?

I filed for AOS on October 25th and today received two separate I-797C.

Both notices mention that BIOMETRIC is required as next step.

So should I expect TWO letters for Biometrics or one will come?

Also both notices have same Receipt Number.

On I-485, they also mentioned a AXXXXXXXX no. Is this going to be Alien NUmber?

I suggest, instead, going to a 'secondary inspection' / 'deferred inspection' area or office for the US Customs/Border Patrol.

THEY can handle all with the I-94, there, and in real-time, no mailing required.

Where can we find the 'secondary inspection' / 'deferred inspection' area or office for the US Customs/Border Patrol?

I beleive the immigration office mistakenly gave my wife a stamp of 3 months on I-94 form.

My wife has 2 years K-3 visa but we can see the stamp on I-94 valid until January 2011.

Should we get INFOPASS to go to local USCIS office?

Just to confirm even if I am filing I-765 along with I-485, the total fee is $1,010.

JFK POE means that her Point Of Entry was the John F. Kennedy (JFK) airport in new york. that stamp is a temporary EAD good for 90 days, if she intends to work right away, but which doesn't matter if she's doesn't. good for her, she has an option to accept employment as soon as she gets ger ssn. congrats on her safe arrival =)

Thanks for the reply, so does this stamp enough evidence for her to get SSN? We went to Sosical Security office and guy said she needs EAD. Unfortunately I did not see that stamp in back of I-94 neither did he. Should we go back and show him this stamp?

My wife landed USA from JFK POE, I am not sure what that mean but on the back of I-94 form, there is a red stamp of:

"[NYC 32] Employment Authorized Jan 14, 2011"

Does this mean she needs to get EAD or she is issued EAD?

May be someone can shed some light on it?

I have put ©(9) as I beleive they stated in instructions if you are filing with I-485, this is category you should choose, but I have also seen other category for K-3 visa holders.

Can somebody suggest me what should be this category for K-3 if I am filing this along with I-485?

To the best of my knowledge, you will need to go ISLAMABAD for interview as per USCIS guidelines, it does not matter where currently you are living, for visa interview beneficiary need to go back where marriage took place.

On a side note, I am not sure what the intention is to make people worry/confuse by saying them don't accept K-3 and go on CR-1/IR route, when we already got the K-3, should we not be thankful of what we have?

So I got K-3 visa and will arrive USA on October 15th, what is the first step should I do? I have read that I need to apply for Adjustment of Status and that is form I-485 right?

We have got our K-3 visa on Friday Oct 1st.

The interview date for my wife was September 20th and visa issue date on passport is September 28, so she got visa in 8 days.

Now planning on flying to USA on Oct 15 via Qatar Airways to JFK POE.

anyway - make a call every few days or even daily, ask those same questions.

DoS Hotline shares data with each consulate/embassy, but can't see Consular Notes. Major status things, they see and can tell you.

Called again and same answer "still pending" , I heard that K-3 visa should not take long and especially the female normally dont have AP.

Ok, I called and talked to a Visa Officer, she said its look like they are still reviewing this case, I asked if this is put on AP? she said she does not know, I asked how long it will take or any estimate? she said some cases take days, some weeks, some months, so she really cannot tell anything.

Strange thing is Consular Officer did not give us any slip or AP or anything, just a token and said it will take 2 week, is this indication of AP?

Well, it is only 4 days since our interview was conducted so we should have some patience I guess.
