  1. Had my Interview and Oath Ceremmony. Baltimore keeps you waiting for a while, but make up for the same day or same week oath ceremony.

    My questions:

-What's the age bracket for enrollment into national Reserves.

-What Year was the constitution written

-What ocean is east to the US

    -How many US senators

    -What's the freedom of Religion

-Name one state that borders Canada.

    went through my tax documents.

    verified my biometrics.

Went through my work history......and that was it. sworn in and my Journey is over.

Thanks VJ this community was a good support. goodluck to the rest of the October crew.

  2. Baltimore ppl, don't be worried, although i've been in your shoes,

checking on statistics i can say they send you the letter at the same date as your filing occured.i filed in aug,23,and i got my interview letter on January 25 almost the same date),few other people ad the same story, they filed on aug 5,got their letters on January 4-6,so i assume if you filed in the end of September, you probably will get your letters in the end of February, means on the next 1-2 weeks.they are slow, but they are getting to you,and don't forget Thursday was a day off due to the snowstorm.

Thanks, the whole thing is getting frustrating, especially when u see co-September filers already being sworn in as citizens in other states.

  3. I was just about to say that!i'm not sure about that truckit system, but i've checked the statistics, and june filers have been interviewd in the end of october-beginning of november,so i believe december-january is for july,february-march for august and so on.so guys just hold on,i believe they are getting to us!biggrin.png

and i don't believe their may-24 thing, first of all it updates extremily slow, and the second thing m thought is that they have wide range frames of the cases they process:say may 24-july 24 may be processed at the same time, the reason why they put may 24 is because these are the earliest applications and if you are beyond the date, and filed in april you certainly have to contact them)..and i think may 24 cases include some extremes-such as time for decision making(if wasn't approved in the interview),or RFE,or some other extreme circumstances that could lead to such an extend time frame.

September Baltimore filler as well....it's nerve wrecking checking ur mailbox everyday hoping to see a USCIS mail

  4. No; there were 2 Baltimore filers in June who got their interviews in October, but nothing since. Isn't your local office in Houston though? Please fill in your timeline so that everyone gets the benefit of your timeline to add to the averages.

Moved cities, hadn't updated my profile info, just did. Was put in-line for interview 11/13/13.

  5. My 1 month anivassary was 11/12/13 and I didn't get a text for "in line for interview"...Wednesday 11/20/13 would make it a week of waiting. Did a walk in finger printing on 10/15/13. Using the Baltimore office. Really worried and getting nervous. Is this normal? Is the Baltimore office usually behind schedule? It's nerve wrecking. I am a September filer as well.

Sent in Package today, someone help me put my notification in the table above in the right way, cant seem to get it right. Thanks

  8. I guess we can get all of that, except for photos of us with my family , they have not visited us in the US (her family was at the wedding but not mine). We have never "lived together" even though we have known each other for 3 years.

Make sure u have your Plane tickets printed out (showing both of you travelling to visit each other), does she visit during the Holidays? (Thanksgiving, Xmass, e.t.c) Gift receipts, Joint bank statements (active account showing withdrawals/deposits in both cities), credit/Debit cards, copy of check book in both names, Auto Insurance. Life Insurance, Health Insurance, Lots of pictures, Gym membership cards (Family Pack), old love letters :innocent: , Utility bills....

I was in your shoes (Wifey attends an out-of state college) making me a holidays and a few weekends husband  ....So you can see how prepared i was.

They are trained to know a genuine marriage.

    Goodluck

  9. Very helpful answers again, thanks!

I-797C: The interview is in Portland and our house is in Ashland, at the other (southern) end of the state. I'm currently on Vancouver Island. Portland is halfway between here and Ashland, so I'm trying to avoid a 10-hour extra drive (5 hours in each direction from Portland to Ashland and back) by having the I-797C (NOA) letter couriered to me. Would you agree then that I should absolutely have this couriered (as opposed to not bringing it at all)?

Marriage certificate: I thought I was going the extra mile by sending the original certified marriage certificate in with the original submission. Alas, unless I make that 10-hour detour, I can't make it to the courthouse to get an original copy of the certificate. Do you think it's necessary, seeing as to how I can bring a photocopy (which shows the certification stamp) and that they already have the original?

Birth certificate: This would actually be very hard for me to come up with (they're at my mom's in Toronto, but my mom is visiting South Africa currently). Are you reasonably confident when you say you don't think they'll ask to see it? Honestly, I'd hate to get RFE'd, so if there was more than a 10% chance, I'd find someone to go into my mom's place and courier it to me from Toronto.

    Cheers and thanks again,

    Simmy

ps. just so you know, I am the husband, not the wife. ;)

U Must go with your Birth certificate. It's the only document that actually confirms your true birth date and not your passport or DL.

  10. Hi Everyone,

My husband and I went for the interview today and it went well. The immigration officer asked me for my state id, driver's license and passport. After that he swore us in, made us sign a paper saying that we are pushing through with the interview without our lawyer present, asked basic questions about our relationship and made copies of our check showing both our names, car insurance policy and life insurance policy. That was it. The IO was very nice and joked with us a little bit and then he said that he will notify us if they need more information from us or if we have to come in for a second interview which he clearly stated that he doesn't foresee happening. Then he walked us to the door. When we got home I checked the status online because I have seen some posts here that it gets updated soon after the interview, when I checked online it says "CARD PRODUCTION ORDERED" so is it safe to say that we got approved?

    Yup...congrats!

  11. Thanks fella's...

Got there an Hr before time, sat and was cracking jokes with Wifey just to kill time and avoid being nervous. Got called 10mins after our scheduled appointment time.

Friendly IO, swore us in, and asked us about our country (We both from the same area)...then he just asked a few questions about our forms, to recall each others birthdays, asked about her school and where she worked, and inquired about my own school.

Asked us if we had new evidence apart from what he had on his desk, i just showed him a few love letters we had dating back from 06/07  ...he laughed, then he went through our bank details to ensure co-mingling of accounts and not just mere names without activity...he then went through our insurance, car title, Health insurance, plane tickets, gift receipts, our debit cards e.t.c.

Took about 10mins...then he said he would be recommending us for an approval after he runs our names in the system, and i should be expecting the GC in 10days time if everything is fine

We then cracked a few jokes and he walked us to the door.

So the wait continues for a few more days

Hope this is a good sign.

My question is...What do they mean by "Run our names through the system"?...is that like a background check or something. I dont have any criminal/fraudulent record..not even a traffic violation ticket  so i should be fine right?

Thanks people!...VJ has been Helpfull...and Yes i didnt use a lawyer, didn't see the reason to get one. VJ rocks
