Honestly, I am quite confused as to why your wife is divorcing you IF she is giving you 6 months to get it together? That makes no sense to me. A separation, sure, but divorce is pretty final in my opinion.

Are you SURE she isn't yanking your chain?

With that being said, STOP driving, and I agree you should voluntarily enter some kind of rehab or alcohol cessation program.

My suggestion is to enter a program like AA or Recovery to show you are trying to make progress. This should help in both your ROC case and with your family.

If you will download and read the instructions to the form I-751, it gives some specific information about what you must provide if you have a criminal history.

The truth hurts. I would be more understanding if he had only been arrested once but four times in two years is crazy. I seriously doubt if his conditional status will be removed.

marriage was entered in good faith was enough - as long as it wasnt a serious incident

Guys need your advice urgently - im getting divorced before the 2 years of marriage, she is great and said she will help me get the conditions removed (she wanted a divorce to have time apparent to see if i can get my life in order, if i can get my life together in 6 months she will take me back - i believe her, she doesnt want to leave me, its been very hard on her). the divorce is finalised on november 9th.

she says she will help me stay, however here is the problem, i have been arrested 4 times for public intoxication (this is texas so PIs are a minor offense), i have 2 charges related to minor motoring offenses (parked illegally etc) - i have also a charge of unsafe speed coming up next month.

Should i just assume i have no hope of getting the conditions removed and leave all these problems behind me? it will break my heart to leave and never see my wife again. or ex wife as they are gonna look at it.

I want to stay and get back with her, i can prove the marriage was entered into good faith, i have a good job here and her family will also help me if they are needed. She said she will go with me to the interview and tell them she has divorced me to make me get help and sort my life out and that we plan on getting remarried if do (we actually do plan on this.
