The voice msill response doesn't mean anything. I work in a public hospital and if you call me the same thing would happen. You can speculate a lot on what it might be but why not call the number back, leave a message, and find out what the story.
The scar mark could be from BCG vaccine which could cause a positive ppd test
I did call the number and left a msg yesterday and still waiting for a call back.

he took the TB shot and it came positive? If that is the case it can happen to a lot of the immigrants who have the birthmark looking scar on their right or left upper arm. My sister has the same problem every time she takes the test it comes out positive but she doesn't have TB.
The TB test came out negative. My dad fell on a tree when he was little and he had some surgeries that scarred his lungs. Not really TB, just the scar that they want to make sure it's not TB. So he went thru the sputum test and the cultured test and it all came back negative. So we're all caught off guard by this "fishy" phone call.

Hi,
First of all my dad doesn't have a tb.
Yesterday my husband got a call from someone telling him that my dad has to make an appointment because he has TB. My husband was really shocked because first, if my dad has tb why did St. Lukes cleared him on his medical and he was able to enter USA with no problems. My dad did the sputum test and he was negative, we waited for the culture and it was negative too so they proceeded with the Vaccines. Before my dad went to St. Lukes we even had a third party opinion and all the xrays and test did not detect any kind of TB. Isn't it that TB is contagious and that if someone has it they have to be quarantined or be obliged by the gov't to be treated? This guy (which my husband said is from infectius disease?) said that my dad has to make an appointment, and when my husband said when can he come in he said that the first available is Dec. 3rd? Isn't TB serious?? But they want him to make an appointment and be seen on Dec? I was thinking that this was a Hoax, but the guy said that he got my tn from St. Lukes. I called the number back and it went straight to his Voicemail not to a Health Department of State or Fed agency.
Does anyone have the same experience?

hello vjrs,
Is anyone here received blue slip after interview, please help me. Does your blue slip
has MNL-IV-22 letter also? Does your MNL-IV-22 letter has also marked the document needed
to be passed in window 17? I cant sleep over this blue slip with MNL-IV-22 looks like i am the
only one who have this, i am so worried.
How many pay stubs are really needed as proof of current sustained income?because We
only have 4 pay stubs that is above poverty level ,since my fiance has just started his new job this september and we will pass all pay stubs this december, so we will only have 4 above poverty level pay stubs,
and only since this september 2010 he got increase. previous months he was below 125%
poverty guideline, do i need to pass pay stubs even if its below poverty level? Thank you so much VJrs
Did they ask you what documents they require you to submit? They should give you a letter showing what doc you need to submit. Like i864a or something.

Thanks for the info. Appreciate it!
Congratulations!
They will receive their green cards in 4-6 weeks. They will need to go to the SSN office and apply for the cards. They will need their passport, with the I-551 stamp.
Thanks for the info. MY parents did request the SSN when they fill up the form originally. Do they still have to go to the SSN office to get this eventhough they already reqquested this on the form they filled up??
thanks.

I'm a little confused at the moment with the Philippines passport.
on embassy of the U.S. Manila website it says......
"1. PASSPORT: Each visa applicant must have a passport valid for at least six (6) months from the time of the visa issuance. Filipino citizens can apply for a passport at the Department of Foreign Affairs-Office of Consular Affairs (DFA-OCA), Aseana Business Park, Bradco Avenue corner Macapagal Boulevard, Paranaque City. Applicants may set an appointment by going on line at www.passport.com.ph or by calling 02-737-1000. "
I'm confused about the valid for 6 months part. Does that mean, for example, that if my wife got her passport in January that we'd have to wait until June before we could petition??? or does it mean that there has to be at least 6 months remaining before her passport expires??? I'm very confused about this and any help you can give would be tremendous.
This means that your wife's passport has to be valid at least 6 mos. when she's applying for visa. Visa processing can take longer and they want to make sure that you havea valid passport when they issue the visa.
THANK YOU!!

Hi to all,
I just want to have a qusetion regarding my trip to the philippines. I am holding a two year greencard and have a baby with my us citizen husband. I am going back to the philippines tomorrow with my baby and planning to stay there for 3 months.. My question is;
1. Do i need to pay any fees upon arriving at the philippine airport? how much?
2. Is there any problem with me and my baby staying there for 3 months?
3. Any body here experiencing going home like me for the first time?
4. My passport is still in single name, do i have a problem because my baby's passport is a us passport.
Please I need some advice! My trip will be tomorrow via Delta airlines. Thanks and God bless you all!
You can stay in the Philippines for a year without having to go thru immigration/ extension stay since you are still a Filipino Citizen. Not sure about your baby (how old is he/she?). If you have a passport that still shows your maiden name make sure you bring your marriage cert, also bring an affidavit of consent notarized that you husband aggreed/consented your travel with your baby. Also bring your baby's birth cert., they might ask you to present this info on your way back.
Good luck!

Hello!
My parents are scheduled for interview next month. Will they be interviewed separately or together?
Thanks!
Together!

Yes, I understand all the extra little costs
We have done much running around through this whole process. I was with her for much of it, including the interview and some follow up items. Just was mentioning about the airfare being so cheap, because I was very surprised by the bargain fares.
Now we've found more confusion. It seems there are some people posting here early this year (maybe just one person?) that reservations are needed for the seminar. Is this true? We both thought it was first-come-first-served. And saw some other posts that it is, but don't know how recent they are for sure.
Cebu CFO should be walk in, my parents are stuck in Manila because of this very inefficient, time consuming "reservation" they have at the Manila offices. I would recommend you go to cebu it's faster and quicker. My moms said that some people that were there in Manila even flew to Cebu just to get the Sticker/Seminar asap.
Goodluck.

CFO
in Philippines
MY parents have been to the US Embassy and they were not informed about this. The site just has a link on the side not so clear. Just suck b/c the office is located only in Manila or Cebu. Oh well they will eventually get here..

CFO
in Philippines
What kind of visa do they have? If it is a visitor visa, CFO is not required.
Immigrant visa. Is there anyway that they can make it here without the CFO sticker? I'm sad we just found out about this.

CFO
in Philippines
Are your parents coming to visit or do they have a visa? If they are immigrating to the US they will have to have the seminar. Luckily, it only takes a few hours and you can usually get in without any problems.
They have offices in Cebu & Mania
They have a visa. They live in Negros quite far from Cebu and Manila and it's already Friday I don't think they can fly to Manila or cebu now.
Can they do proxy?

MY parents are scheduled to fly this Sunday. They live in the province and we're not aware that they have to do the CFO seminar. IS this a requirement?? Are they going to miss their flight if they don't have this seminar? Please advice!!

Taxes
in Philippines
make sure your parents attend the CFO SEMINAR or else they wouldn't allow to board the plane if they dont have CFO sticker on their passport
Is this necessary? Eventhough for those who live in the Province?

I was interviewed last aug 6,2010.After checking my documents the CO asked me when was the last time i saw the petitioner( my father). And i answered that he is still here in the philippines for a vacation. And I told him that if ever I'll be granted visa,he will be back to US with us, me and my son. and the CO ask another supporting documents such as proof of domicile and life, affidavit of support I864A, and letter of explanation from the petitioner why he didn't file an income tax ( we are only required to submit a documents at window 17 to 20 ), and we submitted it last september 21, 2010 but til now we haven't receive the visa. anyone can give an idea on how many days is waiting time in visa issuance. can we follow up it to US embassy?
Can we request an expedite for the visa issuance because we need to go there before october 12 because the one who volunteer to accompany my parents who are taking care of them will leave on that date, and my parents can't live by their own because they are old and sickly and always need companion.
THANK YOU VERY MUCH AND GOD BLESS US ALL!!!!
Looks like you have same situation with Bujoy1 and they waited for 3-4 weeks I believe after they got their VIsa. You can check his thread.

Same thing happened to my brother, had his interview and passed last Aug. 26, needed to submit a CENOMAR, did that on Aug. 28, Received a txt from Air21 on aug. 31 for tracking number.Emailed USEM twice and they acknowledged receiving the document on Sept.15. but it's still under review.I faxed a letter to Senator Harry Reid's office yesterday, someone from his office called me at work today telling me that she will follow up with the USEM today.Well see from here. You would think that since USEM got what they needed and it's valid, then should just let the visa go.... but who knows!! Everytime they reply to emails, they encouraged you to call that 800 number.Good thing thing about it is as long as you know your documents are valid and legit... then it's all about being patient waiting.
I did send a letter to my Congressman too and have them follow up with the Embassy and they said that USEM emailed them back. The IL fw the email to me and it just basically said that they got the docs and is processing it, it also states that thye will contact applicant which they did and informed my parents that they got the documents and is processing it. IL said that if we don't get the visa within this week or hear back from the USEM to call them back and they will follow up. So we'll see I guess if my parents can get their visa this week.
Crossing figers. This is crazy long journey...

i have a joint sponsor thats my brother and we live same house.. so they ask for I864A its contract between sponsor and household member
i search this issue and found some but different additional docs. some of the took 7 weeks some took less.. hope ours not took that long... i told my wife keep callin them.. and if still no answer go to the usembasy. and directly ask them
did the embasy give ur parents something after the interview?
my wife dont get nothing they just told her bring the I864A. after she sumbit it in 2 days she receive a txt from the (carier air21)
Wow that's quick. Yeah they gave my parents a slip where it states what they need, then they gave them back their passports (which is weird coz they ask for it again), and because we line in the Prov we have to mail it to them and they said they'll mail the Visa. But it's only been a week (seems like forever) that my parents submitted the requested docs.
-
Wow! Congratulations to you guys! SO was it 4 weeks of waiting after you submit the requested documents? I hope my parents get their visa soon. Embassy just called them yesterday and said that they are processing it. So more waiting...
Congratulations again!!

I know, this is a lot of stress. I hear yah. Maybe you can post something with the subject " contact number for Jerusalem" i think there's quit a bit VJ'ers here from that area.
Hang in there...these things are worth waiting. all things come to an end..
-
No i already filled out an I864A for my husband. Our joint sponser wasn't the "original". Dont know what exactly that meant.
Yeah you have to fill one out for your husband too if you are the petitioner. Whao are the USEM? Is there and International numer for who I can call to help me get information about my case? I submitted it here in Jerusalem counslet. Thanks!
Yeah, I figured. I submitted mine in Manila USEM. Below is the link for Jerusalem US Consulate.

Sick of waiting...
From my earlier posts spme of you already know my situation. Those of you who don't heres a quick recap:
Sent In I-130 for husband October 21, 2009
Date of appointment April 22, 2010
Appointment went well, but given 221g sheet for new Joint sponser
Sent in new joint sponser SEPTEMBER 8th 2010 ( 5 months of searching)
It has been over 3 weeks since we sent it in.. with only reply being : Case has been forwarded to officer for review. Once decision is made, will contact you."
Does it take the officer 3 weeks to make a decision? I know we are not on AP because it would have said so on the 221g. What should I do? I want to email them again but I dont want same answer!!! Arggg
Did they asked for I864A? It looks like we have the same situation. We submitted the requested document last 09/21/10 and it also does not say we're on AP. USEM called my parents yesterday and they said that we should have submitted 2 docs, one from me and one from my husband. I was like, will I am the applicant and I don't need I864A. My mom said that they said " oh wait let me ask the consulate, wait... wait... wait...and oh we'll consider it" duh! So they called to let us know that they don't know what they are doing and that yeah they'll process it. So I guess more waiting for us.
-
hello eya..
thanks for joining me... no she's aplyin for IR1 wer waiting 3 weeks from she submit the additional docs.. when did u submit your?
Oh I'm sorry I forgot you said your wife. haha! I am actually applying for my parents to immigrate here in the US and they had their interview last 09/13/10 and USEM requested that my husband fill fill up I864A (I'm not sure why,but my income is above the poverty guideline, I guess because we filed our taxes jointly) and we submitted the requested doc last 09/23/10.
A good advise I got from here is you can involve your congressman/senator and they can help follow up with the process. I tried that and I guess because it's international they just email the USEM. SO I am still hoping that the immigrant laiason will do any help.
Good luck!

Just send them the document. Have your mom fill it up/sign it, scan it and email it back to you.
