  1. Hello,

Our CR1 case was expedited to Paris and we are wondering what is the next step? The embassy said that they are mailing an "instruction package". Does anyone know what is in this package? We have not turned in the AOS or DS230, so I assume that this package includes these forms and requests that we complile the necessary docs (marraige certificate, police records, etc). Also, has anyone gone through this process in Paris? How long does it take to get an interview?

    Thanks for the help,

    Jesse

  2. I'm informed only the Applicant is Allowed in the Montreal Consulate and no one else. high security I suppose. However the Checklist shows that Evidence of Domicile and Evidence of Support are required documents per Packet3.

I really hope obtaining a Police Certificate from the Syria Embassy isn't a hassle or some run around.

Hi. Were you ever able to obtain a police report from Syria? I've called the Embassy in DC several times and they keep telling me that we have to go to DAmascus to get the report and they are not available ourside of Syria.

    Thansk!

  3. My request to expedite IV processing for my spouse got accepted.. Yahoooo  . My wife is in her 6th month of pregnancy and is advised against air travel after end of December.

NVC was very quick in forwarding the request to US consulate in Chennai, India; the consulate responded within 3 days.

Meanwhile, I followed up with NVC and paid AOS and IV fee online. NVC does not allow me now to login using NVC case # and IIN.

Anxiously waiting for December interview

This is great news! Did they email you with the news that they accepted the expedite request or did you have to call them? Also, did you email your request to NVCInquiry@state.gov or call it in? I am still waiting to hear back whether or not they requested our expedite request.

    Thanks!

  4. Thank you! :)

It usually takes about a week for a decision to be made BUT NVC won't e-mail you - you have to call them!!! Our case was already in the USEM and I already had my interview date when hubby received SNAIL MAIL from NVC that expedition was granted... :bonk: My advice - give it a week or so after you send the request and then start harassing the NVC operators! That is, if you don't get SIF in the meantime... ;) Good luck!

Thanks! Our fingers are crossed. Good luck tomorrow.

  5. :D I'll take 'em! :D Maybe I can use them to bribe someone at NVC for ya.. Confidentially speaking, of course! I am sending you all my prayers and best wishes so you get that Dec interview, Teya! :innocent:

I can barely hold myself not to start calling the USEM from tonight!!! (it's already midnight here, that would be 9hrs on hold... :bonk:) Tho I am debating whether to call them tomorrow or give them by Mon..

Good luck! We hope you hear something soon!

Anyone know how long it takes to hear back about an Expedite request?

  6. Indigo,

Why is it that after the IIN, you have to wait for 2 to 3 days to pay the bill ? I just got my IIN number this morning from an NVC operator

and I logged in and was able to see the invoice to be paid.

I was told by the operator that I need to wait for the bill to be generated and to wait to pay the bill, but from your earlier thread you mentioned that you didn't wait for the email to pay the bill. what is it that you waited for for 2 to 3 days after the IIN ?

    Loto,

Now that I have my IIN, can I go ahead and pay it eventhough the operator asked me to wait..?

    Thanks

svenkatc, we are in the same boat. I logged on and could see the AOS, but it shows as "Not Invoiced." Has yours already "invoiced"? If it is "Invoiced" then you can pay the bill because it has been generated?

  7. After IIN, you should be able to pay your AOS bill in 2-3 days.

You shouldn't wait around for the DS3032. You should pro-actively send it to NVC. If you wait on NVC, it might end up taking 4-6 weeks. What you want to do is email your DS3032 to NVC. For guidance, peruse many of the guides avaialbe on VISAJourney. An excellent one is here: http://www.visajourney.com/wiki/index.php/EZGuideSpouse . Hopefully, you've called NVC and asked them that they should email everything to you and your spouse, rather than using snail mail. To that end, you have already given them your email address. Do so, ASAP. If you haven't.

Thanks. I provided our email addresses. Just to confirm, we email the signed 3032 to NVCInquiry@state.gov? Im nervous about making a barcode.... is it necessary or does it work if we just write the NVC case number and IIN on the form?
