  1. Congratulations amankular. I'm very happy for you.

if you have the time -- could you please summarize everything that you went through from the day of hte interview? for example, did they keep passport, if they gave back how long until they requested passport, how long they kept it? if you could post that, I think that would be appreciated by many people.

    Thank you.

Thanks Usama...had interview on Aug. 30th 2010. They kept the passport and did not ask for any other paper or documents. They put me in AP and after 5 months they issued visa. Good luck ...

    amankular,

  2. I did not go through congressman, I went through US Senator (there are only 100 of them) I followed with NC Senator's office, my home state...

Followed through with them, she has a awesome woman working in her office, she was a big help.

My Best thing - I just keep on bugging them till they went ahead and put inquiry and follow through it.

    It really helped me...

"Deep2009" lucky you. It's almost 5 months ...still in AP. Went to senators office for second inquiry but they said no..I have to wait 90 days for another inquiry. Don't know what to do???? Any advise??

  3. Amankular! so there is long way to go for me. on my case they have already done lot of

investigations on dec 29,2010. on next day they(us embassy) called us to submit the passort at vfs .

I don't understand what they want more. this is 7th day.God help us all.......

Probably not because every case is different...! Most of cases, it took only 2 -3 months to get visa. Good luck. Don't worry God will help us.

  4. Please help me try to understand the status of my case.

1)Interview Dec 07,2010 immigrant visa-spouse of LPR US embassy New delhi.

2)At the time of interview 221g handout to submit proof of relationship ,and

    did not keep the passport.

3)All requested DOCUMNETS were submitted on Dec 15,2010 along with the passport.

4)Passport received back with no visa on Dec.24,2010 with a letter says

"Please bear with us while your case undergoes mandatory administrative processing. We will contact you as soon as the process has been completed."

    Thank you.

You are in AP. New Delhi Embassy ohhhhhh God. everyone going thru AP ( i guess)When they done with AP they will ask for you passport. Don't know how long it take. I'm in AP from last 4 months. Some people get visa in 2 month & some get in 3 months...Good luck

  5. Wahiguruji ki fateh,

Amanji I am surprised they are taking so long...they are probably just backlogged at the embassy.

Do you have any idea why they put you on AP? Any red flags in your case?

Waheguruji ka khalsa Waheguru ji ki fateh simranS

I' am surprised too. I have NO idea why they put me in AP. Completed 104 days. Deep2009 and r&g get visa after 110 days. So I'm hoping....and praying. Waheguru will help me for sure...!

  6. Aman...

It is not good thing but not a bad thing either.

Everytime, they will open your case, they will know that there is a congressional enquiry on your case.

I hope/pray that you will out of AP soon.

Deep Thanks for reply...! I called DOS office today. They always said that " your case is under AP" . But today they said " your case is now processing" I asked again and he said " your case is now processing" I have no idea what does that mean? Does that means they are now working on my case or it's still under AP.? So confused...!:(
